Talk to me about Donaldson

I admittedly do not live in S. Florida but I do see the tape that is available so I am hoping for some opinions:

Why can't this kid develop into a LT? He just eats DE's in all the drills and when he matures physically is there reason to think this cannot happen?

Maybe I am way the **** off here.

I think he can. He's already athletic and will get even quicker when he leans up.

Only way he's a rt is if we bring in leatherwood too. You make them bookends and reap the benefits!

I see him as a true Lt once he's brought up to his full potential. He's got all the necessary tools and just needs fine tuning. A year of s&c will do wonders for him.

Needs to loose weight. Is athletic for such a big dude tho. He drops about 30lbs i think he can play LT.

Would seem the opinions to this point are not as pro "Donaldson is a RT" as is the sentiment of the board overall. Perhaps the Leatherwood talk also fuels this mindset.

I think when this kid matures and potentially leans up, hits a college weight room and nutrition plan (than f'ing gawd, about time), and gets some time with Searels I thing he could be a monster at LT.

Perhaps the lenses on these orange and green classes I'm wearingare thicker that I thought......

I think the general consensus in college football is you never want to have to start a true freshman at LT day1 regardless of potential so everyone assumes if he's getting day1 reps it's at RT. Love Donaldson but i think Darlings value as a senior at LT next year will ultimately win out. Aside from all that i love Odogwu's story and i'm rooting for him to get healthy and make big leap this year so we don't have to worry about starting any freshman OL.
