With all the bickering, disagreements, and arguments on what this team will do maybe we can all agree that we are glad this off season is over and football season is finally here. This has been the longest off season that i can recall. From looming NCAA sanctions and wet behind the ear players it has been rough. I feel we all want the team to go undefeated and if we lose to a team we're underdogs to we still feel some what disappointed. If we don't go undefeated this season lets hope they make the teams we fall to know they were in a fight and think twice the next time they play us. Golden is bringing us back but ten years of inadequacy in coaching and player efforts is a long tough road to hoe for anyone.
Most on here say Al gets "it". We as Cane fans need to get "it" and get to the games if we are able to. I know a lot of us dislike the stadium formerly known as <insert whatever name they change it to this season>. We cant do anything to change it but what we can do is show up and support the team. Games are really cheap if you buy the tickets at the stadium or through stubhub,etc. Grab all your friends and go. Attendance does mean something for the home team when their crowd can disrupt the opposing team. Granted this isn't the West end zone of the old girl but if there are enough asses in the seats with loud fans it can and will make a difference. If i can drive 4 hours each way to every home game those fans in Miami and the surrounding areas that don't attend games, yet call themselves a fan, should really check their fan card at the door. I understand money can be tight but UM tickets are at the bottom end of any NCAA venue. So no excuses this season. If we don't allow them from the coaches and players then why make them yourselves as a fan for not attending games.
