Everyone is talking about schemes. This ain't chess, its football.

You want to know why we aren't a good football team? We don't block well, we don't tackle well, we don't play good physical football.

If we fire donofrio then swasey has to go too. Swasey started the year after we won the championship and it's been downhill since. Either fire his *** or put him in charge of the track team and leave football to someone with toughness. No more of this finesse crap.

Alabama spends the summer using sledge hammers and sand bags, swasey has us using yoga balls and rubber bands.

But former players love him? I don't give a ****. Just like I don't give a **** about goldens personal feelings about donofrio.

Personal feeling need to be set aside and decisions need to be made for the good of the program.

weren't you on the UTOUGH swasey bandwagon

lmao

No

I'm about results and swasey is the one common link from Coker to Shannon to this crap.

You know the players spend more time year round w swasey than golden. What does that say about our players regressing?

I'll never understand why Kehoe's name always gets dragged through the mud. Our OL might be the strength of this team.
Pass protection is great. The running game in 4th quarters has been unreal when you think about it.

The 2 biggest knocks on him are the shuffling of OL (that's on Golden, Kehoe said that when he got here that was all new to him - it's Golden's call) & short yardage blocking.
In regards to short yardage I would say that the play-calling has at times been mediocre. Stretch plays on 3rd or 4th & 1?

When we've gone power run game we've mauled teams over. Dallas Crawford, who is a tough runner, is NOT a BCS caliber RB. And he's gashing teams thanks mostly in part to great holes to run through.

The OL is the best performing unit on the team and it's not even close. Morris barely got pressured against even FSU.

Dallas Crawford is not a BCS caliber RB? lmao

Short yardage and goal line is on Swasey. You just pick up a guy and drive him back.

Our technique and line calls are pretty good, so I don't have a problem with art kehoe

Ernie: been screaming this for years. Basically knew we'd be still lacking development when Golden retained him.

Butch fired his S and C team, brought in Moffitt. Then fired his close friend and DC and brought in Schiano. And the team turned around.

Every single year for as long as I can remember, we have looked like this down the stretch. The guy is a cancer, a virus. He couldnt even get these kids bench pressing!!! How he is still here defies any logic. This school is financially ****ed with the Golden contract, and so we MUST improve the staff around him or we will be in this **** forever.

I agree. I don't think ppl appreciate how important a good sc staff is. They have more contact with the kids than the head coach or coordinators.

If donofrio spends 20 percent of the time with a kid and swasey spends 80 percent of the time, whose fault is it the kid regressed?

How do you know what the **** they are doing? Bands and yoga balls, says who? The players have not regressed in the weight room. They've almost all gotten stronger and faster. The numbers don't lie.

Just because that hasn't translated to the field doesn't mean its Swasey's fault.

I see no reason to fire Art. Al meddles in everything so. I don't like all the movement -- oline is unit and has to play as one. I don't think that is Art's doing. But if Art is the price of getting ride of Mark and even Swasey then fine. Don't know if Swasey is the problem but team has been soft for years under him. We are bigger now but slow and soft anyway. I'll even throw Mike out if it helps get rid of Franklin. Hurlie has to stay and need Coley to recruit a couple more years. By then Hurlie will be a total beast recruiter. As far as coaching, I really don't see anyone playing well enough to think any of the staff should be safe--except the recruiting.

We shut down Florida's running game.

Our blocking is just fine. FSU couldn't do **** against our OL.

FSU said that we were the most physical team that they've played at the time.

Swasey isn't the problem.

Oh boy, so we're back to Swasey. So our strength coach is responsible for the occasional Morris brain fart, errant throws and ankle/achilles issues? And, I guess, he's the reason our tight end more often than not resembles a circus juggler when a ball comes his way - on those ridiculously predictable routes? Or why a fifth-year senior safety excells in coverage and more often than not tackles dirt? Or why the defense seems to get shredded by a handful of familiar plays - see the VT game?

Hey, I don't know if he's worth a **** or not. Just seems that we're too eager right now to attack/fire everyone short of our step too slow waterboy and pound too heavy cheerleaders.

I would Like Ernie McOnCrack that UTough has evolved over the years, it hasn't been the same program, so don't say its because of Swasey's s***** system or coaching... The Miami Hurricanes are one of the best conditioned teams, and must be relatively tough as well considering FSU safety Lamarcus Joyner (YES A PLAYER ON THE OPPOSING TEAM, WHO HAS ACTUALLY HAD TO PLAY AGAINST THE MIAMI HURRICANES) that it was one of the toughest and hard fought games he has ever played in. If we let Swasey go, he would be out of a job for about 30 minutes.

You don't see the difference between our players & FSU/Bama/LSU/UGA/UF/Stanford ?
You don't?

Size wise I don't see much of a difference to be honest. We aren't as explosive/athletic as those teams though (defense). Now I don't know how much of that is S&C, talent, or coaching
