The first of many has entered the portal, and the first to do so is Miami's guard, Austin Swartz.



Swartz is a freshman guard from Concord, North Carolina, who averaged 5.9 points, 1.0 rebound, and 0.9 assists per game.

Swartz shot 37.7% from the field goal this season for Miami and shot 30.4% from behind the arc.

We wish Swartz the best of luck and wherever he lands.

Shot selection was a massive issue, but we also had some of the worst spacing and ball movement I’ve ever seen. I think Swartz can be a player, way too early to completely write him off imo.

One of our better defenders since he's gotten on campus, who can defend multiple positions. Shot almost 40% from 3 and 46% from the field. Definitely a take. Not saying we should break the bank for him, but at the very least, having a kid like this coming off the bench for us wouldn't be a bad idea.

Making 13 wide open 3s on the season isn’t worth the turnovers and just overall lack of feel for the game imo. If he comes back he shouldn’t be above like 10th in the rotation. I wanted it to click, but the game just seems really fast for him.

UM needs a complete reset on its roster, which is entirely possible in basketball in one season. No one from this season’s team, coach or player, should automatically expect to be wanted back.
