Swap North Carolina and Duke and maybe Fl and VT...

and this year is exactly what many of you predicted... the Defense will end up ranked in the 60's which was another consensus type estimate... We got a boatload of talent coming in with the cream getting here in January.. Lets go!!!!!

And just to beat you to it, we are winning Friday and the bowl game

Shhh.....nobody wants to talk about how they predicted we'd finish the season early on (easy 80% thought 10-3 would be a good season). Nobody wants to talk about how we knew we were weak upfront and had to bring in a couple transfers to give us any kind of depth. Nobody wants to talk about knowing our Safety play was going to be lacking (being nice), especially if Bush wasn't healthy. Emotional females just like being emotional.

We aren't 10-3 yet.
 
we beat florida and then all of a suddenly people forgot that they had predicted 2 or 3 losses... i will say this though, i thought we'd be playing in the ACCCG... UNC will probably murder duke.. and VT will punk UVA.. and we're going to get left out again.

Nobody expected UF to field their worst team in 30 years, UNC to start the season 1-5, and no one picked us to lose to Duke before the season. We had the softest schedule here in 10 years and still choked.. VT lost 2 in a row and turned the ball over 8 times in 6 quarters and somehow in a downpour at our place they look like Bama lol.. Come on man WE WERE GIFTED THE COASTAL and blew it TWICE..
 
No offense but not sure how you predict bowl win now without even knowing who you would play.....
 
Right, because people never adjust their expectations when things unfold a little differently than originally expected.
 
It always sucks to lose. Especially to Duke.


But my problem, along with most Cane's fans who have eyes, with this team and staff is how we are losing.

I predicted 8-4 but thought we improve as a team I am more disappointed that we did not improve as a team. We "might" win a couple more games cause the schedule was easy. Mark D must go

I suspect that you similarly predicted surefire wins against VT and Duke as well.
 
the record is fine if we win out but the D ranking is a fraud ranking. were not really the 60th ranked D. against anyone w a live arm we've struggled as much as last year. we even let florida go up and down the field on us w their garbage offense.

emotional females being emotional? if what you saw on D this year is acceptable to you (no improvement) then good god were never get to where FSU is right now.

Lol the ones who agree w/ the OP are the most f*gg*t level low standards having fans of what is suppose to be a top tier BCS football program that i've ever seen..... but that's only b/c u all love swallowing up that Golden juice. lol we all know if it was Randy Shannon then you wouldnt be coming up w/ these *** *** threads.

GTFOH w/ this *** **** about swapping UNC for Duke, GTFOH Miami shouldve beaten Duke just like it shouldve beaten UNC... almost lost to UNC and WF, there is nothing that was expected about this season even when it comes to the things we were giving Golden the benefit of the doubt about... you think getting blown out at home to a VT team that has one of the worst offenses in CFB is okay, u think losing to Duke on top of being blown out by them is okay?....

The defense is currently ranked 72nd in the country and Pitt is going to push into the 80s after Saturday.... smh the op and all of the Golden excuse makers are pathetic.
 
People are upset at the way we lost those 3 games. We were 7-0 and then the defense imploded against some marginal competition(with the exception of FSU), I for one wasn't expecting to go undefeated but I did expect to see a team improve as the season went on, that hasn't happened.

i don't always agree w u but i do agree w u here. they keep looking at the record but ignoring the way we've played this year. the D hasn't improved at all and i thought wed see some improvement since we were getting porter for a full year along w the transfers. i thought pierre wouldve taken the next step but he didnt. the record is fine and some of the wins were fun (UF, UNC (not fun but we don't win in chapel hill very often so ill take it), first half against FSU is a W in my book considering how they've played everyone else this year)

Have you seen bridgewater since ucf game? No injury and not that impressive as of late.

So because we were accurately able to predict just how poor Dorito's unit would perform, that makes it ok.

Look at the Chargers yesterday. They had lost 3 in a row including to the Dolphins the prior week. San Diego was the only team in 2 months to fail to score at least 20 against the Dolphins.

Then they march into Kansas City and win, scoring 41 points. The reason I'm spotlighting that game is it was the identical scenario to what we faced against Virginia Tech. The Chiefs overachieved and were unbeaten deep into the season. Once the bubble pops, the following game is invariably an inexplicable letdown. I posted that prior to our game against the Hokies. The media never mentions that trend but it's very well known in betting circles.

The Duke game, now that one I don't excuse. It was strategic ineptitude, trying to open them up instead of relentlessly pounding away.

It was also said, quite clearly, that if we lost Duke or Morris...all bets were off.
