Our strategy should be the following:

Play Emory in the Bowl Game - he either looks great and we can then spend on free agents stacking the team with playmakers or he plays awful and then we know his goose is cooked. Iowa State is a good team and has a good secondary so success in the bowl game should translate into the ACC slop we are life and death with every week.

Only take difference making free agents at this point in time. No panic. There are going to be a ton of quality players on these playoff teams that enter the portal after their teams season has ended (rumor of teams paying players to stay through playoffs).

Sounds like the ACC has recognized they are in deep **** vs the SEC/B10 recruiting machines and will be allowing ACC teams to go to 105 roster spots while the SEC/B12 have limited rosters for 2025 to 85. Exploit this by stacking the team with high upside physical tools prospects.

Aren't spots 86 to 105 the football equivalent of the North Korean troops in the Ukraine?
 
I love that Cam wants to play but he has nothing to prove and everything to lose. He's already solidified that he will be the first or second qb in the NFL draft and likely a top 5 pick. I would totally get playing if he was a late first or round 2 guy but I don't understand it. Someone should take the ball away from him.

We need a good look at Emory and the young WRs.

Come on Kev, Get with the program! You know this board is far better than our coaches, OC, and analysts, in judging talent. I'm convinced now after reading 100's of posts, that Emory is the 2nd coming of Kirby F'ing Freeman and were only gonna' beat Bethune Cookman next year with Williams behind center. Every QB at Miami from here out has to be THE NEXT Cam Ward or the program is doomed to inevitable Failure. Gangly, awkward QB's like Dorsey and Kosar could never win at Miami today! Only THE NEXT Cam Ward can. While I've folded my cards and thrown in with the mob, I DO believe we will beat Stanford too.
I'm not entirely sold on Emory, but I wasn't sold on Bernie or Kenny either when I first saw them on the sidelines in the OB, I said " no freaking way we get to Home Plate WITH these guys"
I guess that's why we play the games...

As a P4 QB with the #1 offense in the nation, throwing 10 screen passes and 5 yard check downs vs 3-9 MAC teams does not give you a good indication on how good a QB is

Tate Martell was 20/24 in his 2 games against Tulane and Rutgers when he was on that 2019 Ohio St team. Should we bring him back to start for us?




Emory is 100x the QB Martell was but the point stands

Don’t forget the Tight Ends. Should take a long hard look at those.
