LOL,here we go with the yearly it's ok to lose local studs, our class is still great. If Lumph loses Campbell and Jobe he should be ashamed to face the rest of the staff.Campbell loves him so much.like a father but wants no part of him.

Who said we are losing Campbell though?
And it ain’t no “LOL” it’s facts. This is an elite class. Those 3 won’t make or break this class. It’s already made...
We going to land Campbell though and lose jobe to bama imo

You can only take so many Yearbys instead of Cooks and wonder why we don't beat the big boys. The class isn't a failure, and the other kids are good players. But part of what we will need to over take the clemsons, bamas, and ohio states of the current land scape are to stop losing guys like jeudy and jobe to bama.

Only so many yearbys instead of cooks? Where?..... that’s such an asinine statement . You tell me where we are getting scraps. The staff have landed their top targets at nearly every position which is extremely impressive .We just got an elite qb in all of a couple of weeks after recruitment who was getting recruited by all the big time schools and they couldn’t do that. He even visited Ohio State after our visit and we still had him locked up

Went out and got our top 2 rb targets from the start. Elite group committed

The staff went and got its top 2 targets at tight end and pulled off some impressive pulls getting an elite tight end from national powerhouse bishop Gorman beating elite programs, then getting Mallory who is a Michigan legacy...

At receiver we the staff got its top target at Mark Pope and got two other really good receivers too

Dt- got the best dt in the state even over Taron Vincent and it’s not close
Nesta has 98 tackles 30 tfls 12 sacks. Vincent had 54 tackles 8 tfls 4sacks

Lb- Got their top target in Joyner

Db-locked up one of their top targets in the whole class in gurvan hall who is on Campbell/Jobes level
And the rest of our dbs class is slept on but all of them are rated 4 stars in the top 247

Nevermind, as usual, you are too super fan to see through the orange and green **** you have smeared into your eyes and just don't get it. Forget it moron.

Can't believe I failed my own instincts and engaged you in communication.

You Didn’t answer the question. “Getting yearbys instead of cooks”. Where?....

It's real simple for me.

Land 17 four/five stars (247 composite) and the class is a success. Land less than that, and it's a disappointment.

Sitting at 15 currently, so things are looking bright.

It shows that we've come quite a way and gotten almost every local guy we wanted. The fact that some here might consider it a failure to miss on 1 or 2 elite recruits (and disappointed about the loss to Clemson and missing out on playoffs) shows that Richt has moved the finish line and we have all adjusted on our expectations.

In a vacuum, I think we'd all happily take a 10-2 team playing in the Orange Bowl and a top 5 recruiting class. I think many of us got carried away and caught up in the on and off field success, but may need to readjust our expectations. I know I did. I'd love undefeated and getting every recruit, but that's probably not reasonable. Heck, Bama even loses a game and top recruit here and there, and they're stacked and throwing bags of money around. LOL

All in all, we're in great shape. I'm excited about the bowl game and incoming early signee class.

This might be the single dumbest rationale I have ever seen on a recruiting message board and we have had some whoppers.

This is dumber than the "don't need Local Stud X because next year is loaded at Position Y" bull**** we get every time Saban flips one of our guys.

It would be a failure on Rumph's behalf. There will be no better yr for DB talent in So Fla. If he can't do it now when will he ever?

Tyson is a must get. Surtain I never thought we had, and Jobe is likely gone.

But I always thought Tyson was flat out elite. Natural speed and instincts.

We are coming off a 10-2 season and a trip to the ACC ship. We were ranked #2 at one time, the turnover chain dominated the headlines, and FSU/UF are the worst they've been in 30 years.

If we can't recruit CBs (at a position of need) this year, when will we?

If Lumph can't land Campbell with the season we just had with our DBs and the TO chain making headlines every week and us likely only returning Young and Dean at cb and Bandy in the slot, there should be no debate Lumph is the worse recruiter on staff and one of the worse in all of college football.

Rumph is damned if he do and damned if he don’t...

When he lands Campbell some of you are going to be like “this is nothing special, this is a shoe in”. if he doesn’t get him y’all will blast rumph

You are right about that Brock because Campbell should have been an easy layup for Lumph from the get go.

Staff needs to close the deal on the big fish. That's the big time step that needs to be taken.

These are the posts I don't understand. What about all the elite level talent we have committed? Why aren't they big fish? They get no credit for closing the deal with all of them? Why? Because they didn't drag their recruitments out like prima donnas? Let it play out, if we get everyone but Jobe and replace him with another baller who tf cares? Our class is elite and will get even better, good post Brock.

Other than the Al Blades, Jr. super-legacy types, there are no "easy layups" in recruiting. I know it's easy to say that from your couch, but NCAA football is a multi-billion dollar industry where the incoming talent-pool is a bunch of 17-19 year old kids, many of whom are financially destitute.

We didn't have a shot with surtain or Campbell for the longest and everyone accepted that

Now that it's almost signing day the typical mopes come around saying.. "man what a miss by the staff, can't less these guys to, smh" etc

Same thing on message noards last 15 years. This is the best class we've had since 08, period

Every other year the class was riddled with fifteen 3*s and only like six 4 and 5*s. It's the reverse this year. It's ok to lose one of those guys. We'll get Campbell

All facts brock

The staff has been doing a great job thus far.

Don't forget we got the #1 FB (who runs a 4.7?!) as a late target too. Might not seem like much because sadly some only seem to focus on the amount of stars. But hey maybe we'll be able to finally run heavy in the red zone for the upcoming years
