Stop with the excuses about 3 players being out

D'onofrio's defense has sucked for the past 2 seasons with a full lineup. You can't put this on the 3 players being out. We need a new d coordinator and golden has to start recruiting dlinemen in bunches.

Not an excuse when it's true.

Just because you don't like D'onofrio it doesn't make it any less of a fact that when you are already thin on defense, losing your three best players will hurt.

And it did.
 
We probably win today with those guys but it doesn't make this game any better. You gotta win that game today, regardless of the ******* situation. This was a 3 win team.
 
great, but still, with those 3 we win today. still not sold on Coach D and his scheme, but defense needed 1 play, and with DP, EJ and Bush we'd get it.

For the past 2 years its been the same thing win or lose... Last week we gave up close to 500 yards, Logan was just brain dead... We had more talented players and gave up a ton of yards... Coach D has to tighten up...
 
not using the excuse. its on coaching period. u can beat a 3 win team which btw some of u r making it seem like theyre a good team but in fact they are dog ****
 
Our defense is horrible. Even if we won this game 40-35. i have never seen a Cane defense this atrocious.

Did we, or did we not, have 3 players out? Our 3 best defensive starters in fact.

The Canes have now given up 2,310 yards rushing and 2,586 passing after Saturday's loss."

No one is giving D'Onofrio a pass.

Being somewhat realistic about the situation (along with admitting his faults) does not mean we think D'Onofrio is blameless.

we were up 10 points with 6 mins to go point blank Coach Golden and staff blew this game stop giving this guy a pass because he comes across as a ''program changer''. The guy so far has been a medicore game day coach but a great recruiter. Stop giving him a pass this loss was worse than the Maryland loss last year becuase once again he blew a 10 point lead with 6 mins to go... If Shannon was here most of you would e kiling him but Golden gets a pass? We all killed Shannon for Clemson in 2009 when we were ranked 10th and at home and blew it and his second year against UNC at home up 14 going into the 4th quarter so Golden should get blasted as well...
 
That was Shannon's 3rd year. Very few people were "killing" Shannon in 2008. Nix, yes, Shannon, not that I remember.

Shannon was getting killed in 07 after the Oky loss... That being said... This was a terrible loss and there was no way to defend it... We let them drive 85 yards down the field... 10 point lead with 5minutes left? It was a bad loss man... This is on the coaches as well as the players... We continue to give up around 500 yards a game despite the who is playing...

No one is defending it, but just because something sounds like an excuse, doesn't mean it isn't true as well. We should have won today even without the key players, but I can safely say that we would have won with them.
 
We really need to get a better grasp of what an excuse is... "3 starters out" .. Contributing factor... " it was a long walk to the stadium" .... "its cold out" etc... Excuses


That being said this is the first loss in the golden era that i feel is a terrible loss.. We were up 10 late and couldn't close it out

Ya'll are some fruitpops after a loss.

LOL...of course not having our top three defensive players - two linebackers and a safety - is a major reason why we lost when the team that beat us, beat us, not only all day, but on the final, game winning throw, over the middle, between the safeties and linebackers all day.
