6 TFL and 6 sacks already.

SH, MB, EF better come with it.

He's a great pass rusher but we match up as well with him as a team possibly could. Tuitt's strength is his size and long arms which makes it very difficult for most linemen to get inside his pads. We have mammoths at the tackle position who are better at handling a guy like Tuitt than say, a Brandon Jenkins or Jarvis Jones type.

Morris will face as much pressure as he's seen this year but I don't think ND will out-athlete us in the front 7 the way they've done to the early part of their schedule.

Manti Te'o presents a much bigger challenge because he's one of the few LBs nationally who can stop Duke in the open field as well as covering lots of ground in zone coverage. He disrupts throwing lanes, punishes receivers and makes plays sideline to sideline. Our receivers will need to win matchups on the outside for us to negate Te'o's presence all over the field. He is the best player on either team.

Morris is going to throw it straight to Te'o at least once or twice.

I hate this game...

it's at night, on the road, and will be chilly...

ND looks solid and we've got a bend and break defense.

He who runs the ball better wins IMHO - we're ranked very low against the run as we all know, so I hope we bring our A+ running game Saturday night.

Brian Kelly however is about to burst a nut. We beat them this game, and I bet he explodes on live TV.

nd has a nice running game.....

Tuitt wont be the only problem though...

They have Nix and a few other guys INSIDE that could be a problem with our slow developing zone read plays to Mike James.....

i think we can attack their secondary though....also i think our fast pace on o could do some things....

our defense is about to get mauled though...

Realize we play at times with a 5'9 190 pd linebacker....i repeat a 5'9 190 pd backer (I like him though)..but nd has that power game...and they have a running qb (goldson) coach d is probably working his brain right now on how bad he's gonna call this game.

Te'o is a totally different animal.. Te'o will be a top 10 pick seriously I heard of Tuitt, but comparing him and Te'o who has 3 great seasons of film.. He could've came out last year and been a middle 1st rounder.
I think when Golden and Co. watch film they are going to exploit whatever weaknesses they see in the defense.

Again it's your thread do your thing.

Once thing for sure - they have a big, strong, physical and fast defense. Nothing to sneeze at.

Navy.....Purdue......Denard Robinson is not a QB.......Michigan State is sllllllllllllooooooooooooowwwwwww

I'm not impressed

ND is 9th in the nation in sacks. You're not impressed?

We have 1 of the best protection units in the nation considering how many times we throw the ball (must be 100+ over the last 2 games) with only 1 sack allowed (Seantrel's bust), but ND can and will get pressure.

Notre Dame will not sack Morris this weekend

Their strength is offset and their weekness will be exploited

Our weakness will face their weakness but our weakness is 11th in the nation in take aways while their weakness has zero positives

I am already celebrating our inevitable victory

They are going to bring 1 more than you can block on every down. I expect them to dare Fisch to throw it, leave their DB's on an island. I would go 4 wide and quick slants, then hit em with a seam or a slugo and see what they can do. This is going to need to be a track meet for us to have a realistic shot.

+1 to 5 ringz already celebrating

Notre Lame has not the slightest idea of how quick this offense can score. They're in over their heads. I feel like we're an experienced team that's already been in every tough position. Feels like with exception of their MSU game ND hasn't been mentally or physically tested once.

I agree with your assessment on Tuitt. Our OL's worse game is when they faced a small KSU DL and they just could not handle their speed off the edge. GT and NC State had huge DEs and he was only sacked once in 101 attempts.
