I lived in central Florida growing up. Still drove down to the orange bowl / sun life to see the Hurricanes play.

I live in Hawaii now. Still came back home last year and drove down to sun life to watch the Hurricanes play. Living in Hawaii, i have to be at the bar or wherever at 5 in the morning to catch the game. And if that bar doesn't have the right ESPN channel i have to find a Walmart or best buy that's playing it. I watched the Louisville game at the stupid TV store.

Was at the wake forest game and the Virginia Tech downpour slaughter (Which was still a good time with the cool uniforms and the pouring rain. Couldn't stand how the kids played like **** in the rain, being from south Florida where it OCCASIONALLY rains. I figure it should be more of a 12th man factor but whatever. And the fans berating Morris when he actually had a great game. No one else could hold onto the **** ball, and obvi the defense didn't help.)

I live in Okinawa, Japan until later this year and when i get back to Hawaii, i'm flying back to Florida and driving down to watch a Hurricane game or two.

Why? Because i'm a ******* Miami Hurricane fan. So what the stadiums not on campus. It doesn't matter to me. I still get there. Tickets are cheap, and its way better to be at the game then on your couch. Last year i sat next to a fan from ******* England. He got here, and you fat ***** who actually live in Miami wont even go to home games but will ***** about the stadium or whatever. Stop complaining and just drive to the stadium like the rest of the real fans. The team plays better with a packed stadium too. I would have loved to be at the Florida game last year with the sellout crowd.

Either go and have a good time, or help buy some recruits.

Otherwise, you have no room to talk.

Miami is a you get what you deserve sports town. We've had a decade of mediocrity with limited hope going into this season. Love and appreciate your passion but expect to see lots of orange seats again this year

I think Miami is more of a front runner, big event town versus a you get what you deserve.

Precisely.

Even when UM was winning big, we'd only sell out games against big-name opponents. We couldn't get more than 35-40k to games against people like Rutgers, Pitt, Temple, or BC when we were in the Big East, and we have the same issue now with games against anyone not named FSU, VT, or Clemson.

Miami is a town where people want to be seen more than they want to watch the game. If the Canes are winning and it's a hot ticket, if there's a chance that some stars will be in the audience or that they can mug for a national TV audience, fans will show up in droves. Otherwise, forget about it.

I told you over and over that Beckham was never was going to build a 40K stadium and he won't get the two downtown stadium sites either.

David Beckham's plan to bring a Major League Soccer franchise to Miami looks to be on life support after the city's mayor, Tomás Regalado, previously a key ally in the project, said no to the construction of a stadium at a prime waterfront site.

The surprise rejection was the second time in a month that the former England captain had been rebuffed in his efforts to build a 25,000-seat stadium to launch his team at a favoured city-centre location, after the collapse of his similar proposal at the Port of Miami

David Beckham's MLS plan derailed as Miami mayor vetoes stadium site

Fans say wins will increase attendance. But does that make you a real fan? A real fans will go to the games regardless.Miami Heat won back to back championships and the fans were booing them the other night. What kind of fans does that?

never once said it was tough being stationed here. also realize that its an island. you can drive around oahu in like 4 hours. not the mainland where you can drive from state to state and see your loved ones

The age of real fans filling ur stadium is done. Even uf had empty seats this year and that school has 50k kids. We only have 30k diehards and the rest are ppl we need to come to the games to make it a difference. Also regarding the heat, the tickets to those finals games are ridiculous so the real fans are at home not at the games. Check out the road rally for the real fans
