Their offensive philosophy was terribad against Cali John Bosco I saw on TV. How they suck that hard with that many ballers is astounding. If they could run a spread they'd be so nasty.

How a school like that hired corches like these is incredible. The problem in general is that Florida HS corches are just straight trash at coaching offense.

It seems like every gameplan is put a fast dude at RB and force him up the gut. It is amazing how much more innovative offenses the Texas and west coast teams run. These guys do a great job developing athletes. But play calling is laughable. There are no joke 5-6 guys in CT both public and private right now coaching HS ball that are lightyears ahead of anything the S. FL corches run. Their problem is their best players are 5'11 170 4.9 white dudes who hope to play lacrosse in college.

You're right. But it seems like these guys have a 4 play playbook. Fast kid left, Fast kid middle, Fast kid right, or 4 Verts. Just astoundingly limited offensively

So Al Blades made it through the season with no injuries? I'm good then

Can't get mad at a High School team for losing. All the teams in the playoffs during the semi-finals are very talented. Perhaps they were out coached.

STA's qb play has been bad to horrendous for a few years now. Seems they can recruit top notch players at every position but the most important one

Not saying it is necessarily the case anywhere specifically, but just because a guy is a former pro doesn't mean he can coach. maybe that is part of the problem at STA.

SFL teams will continue to get worse at coaching because kids are catered to every year or they transfer. No continuity.

The offensive coaching in south florida may be bad..but the defensive coaching sure as **** isn't...if you're gonna call out one element of the coaching, you have to atleast tell the whole s tory.

There is no doubt that STA under performed this season and last season based on the talent advantage they have in every game. There are legitimate questions about the coaching on both sides of the ball. Schneider sucked and Ryan Collins wasn't much better. Having said that, the main problem with STA is that they haven't had a serviceable QB in a couple of years, and there isn't one at the school right now. The two junior QBs look great against the Pipers of the world, but are terrible against talented teams, and the kid who played the last few games is atrocious. In recognition of this, STA wanted to dumb down the offense and run a power running game and just couldn't do it, and had no ability to throw the ball when they wanted to loosen the defense.

As far as Roger being a coRch or how long his shelf life is there, I don't know the answer to either question. There is speculation from disgruntled alums that Roger lets his coaches coach and he is living with the results.
