crazy times ... bowl games and spring games are now showcases and opportunities for players to showcase for potential teams and for the coaching staff to see holes on their roster and where they need to attack via the portal

Totally agree. These coaches have to try to figure some way to fight back against constant poaching of the roster.

Kind of liking the NFL OTA type format in the spring/summer before fall camp starts. With NIL and unlimited transfers, college football of the past is gone anyway.
