He knows who the 1st and 2nd group are for the most part, he is playing politics doesn't want the players agents/parents/group to start sniffing around with others teams, even though that is going to happen anyway.

A lot of these Head coaches are paranoid, but reality is whatever is going to happen is going to happen, and whatever tweaks or changes in your offense and or defense will be public after first 2 games or so anyway. It's laughable how top secret they try to be.

I will say the coaches give little access moreseo because people covering team will put out injury stuff, and recruits visiting, and they also don't want the writers seeing coaching get on a players @#$ in a big way make a bigger deal out of it.

Can you imagine the storm if a Headline on 247 was Mario and Hetherman jumped Rueben Bain's ##$ was all over him today shouting obscenities because he missed 2 assignments in a row. Justin Scott and Anez Cooper got into a fistfight, and a coach jumped in and took a stray. Like that stuff they don't want out in public, and you know some of our writers would love to post that stuff.

I am sure you are right. But I don't think it's just about hard-coaching. I think he's genuinely ****ed at his local media for publishing a depth chart and potentially triggering a transfer problem. There is a reason companies have confidentiality agreements and trade secrets. ... Maybe Mario isn't totally clueless in having media blackouts for certain practices and scrimmages?
