Nick Robert 3rd Inning
I wish i recorded the whole thing. This is where it got really ugly, defense was not his friend. (Not the 1st team defense)

AB#3 Renzo Gonzalez (SR) He ended up being out but i stopped for recording for 1-2 mins after what happened in that video

AB#4 Fabio Peralta (FR) (Ethan Puig has a long long way to go before he can play C for us)

I think Nick Robert is going to be a weekend starter with walters and evans being the sunday guy because of the lefty aspect. It could be interesting to move Hugus back to the pen and just let him rip it for an inning or two and have some velocity in the back end of the pen.

Overall the pitching looked solid, not a whole lot over the middle of the plate. They lived around the corners and tunneled pitches well.
My big concern is Robert: if you watch the videos of his I sent. His pitches are all down the plate. He needs elite defense to be really good. Hopefully it was just this practice

I feel with his other outings he was very good, and considering the job he did last year as a freshman I expect him to continue to be serviceable

Robert and Laz have zero deception. If they aren’t 94-97 they better have 3 pitches working every outing.

Cuvet seems to be loading up for g hacks every pitch. Head is moving up and down a ton. Last year he was real quiet with everything. Hopefully this was just Day 1 and wanting to set the tone with some big swings.

Day 1…let’s see how the next month goes. Even Niagara won’t be a cupcake if we don’t field it at a high level. They have a new coach but they were a pretty good lower level northeastern school last year.
