Understanding we signed 14 early, is UM looking to sign 8-10 in Feb? While we lost quite often yesterday, there’s an opportunity to add several more and salvage this thing to a degree. Welcome thoughts/opinions...

I keep a spreadsheet, and as of last night, we were up to 75 (I didn't subtract Jarren Williams as of yet). So we still have a a ton of room, esp. considering that, if you look at historical trends, we'll likely have more guys transfer out after the bowl and after spring practice.

I expect the approach to be sign guys we think are Miami caliber, but don't necessarily sign up to the 85 limit because we may have more potential for a better class next year and we only have 16 seniors for next year right now.

Brown and Banda both said the exact amount of ships they have left for O and D. It’s irrelevant because we’ll end up with a handful of guys and continue to self impose scholarship reductions.

Supposedly 26 is the number they’re aiming for...don’t know if there are that many realistic options left though..
Maybe T.J Jones, Darius Washington, Khris Bogle, Oc Brothers, Tyrique Stevenson, Martin Emerson

Unlikely but possibly-Mark Richards, Theo Johnson,Chester Graves, Jared Hunte, Eugene Asante, Kaiir Elam, Akeem Dent.
I’d say some new names will emerge as well, I think it may be time to start looking for JUCO’s and transfers...

This class cannot be salvaged. We are already competing with the likes of Cincy and App. State for the kids we signed. Couldn't get kids committed to Wake and Minnesota to even visit. Any quality kid that we just start to recruit now is going elsewhere. The rest of the class will be a bunch of sleepers and projects. The wretched state of the program is obvious to everyone including recruits.

I did a count. I'm not sure if Atkins is on scholly or not next year. Assuming he is, there's a total of 61 potential returning players on the roster. In reality, not all of them will be here. I expect Joe Jackson and Homer to go pro. Jarren is expected to transfer. Then there's guys that should be pushed out like Knowles, Milo, Martin, Dykstra, etc. There's always a surprise or two. Let's assume the returning roster is at 55 players. We now have signed 17 including the transfers for a total of 72. That leaves roughly 13 spots still open to get to the 85. That's a lot of spots.

So basically could sign 12 guys huh

I think the way I'd say it is we have as many spots as we want for signees and transfers, cuz I doubt we can find enough Miami-caliber guys at this stage to go at/over the 85 limit.
