Miami OT commitment Navaughn Donaldson visiting Florida this weekend
Four-star offensive tackle Navaughn Donaldson committed to hometown Miami in July, and while he says he’s still “solid” with the Hurricanes, he is playing some other official visits, including to Florida this weekend.
Donaldson (6 feet 5, 335 pounds) attends Miami Central and is an elite prospect. He is a national top-75 prospect overall, as well as a top-15 offensive tackle nationally and a top-15 overall prospect in Florida.
“It just shows how much I’ve improved and how much work I’ve put in at the same time,” Donaldson told GN.
Miami Central — one of the best programs in Florida — has produced numerous big-time prospects, including Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman, former Miami Hurricanes running backs Willis McGahee and Najeh Davenport and former New England Patriots offensive tackle Bruce Armstrong.
There are many things Donaldson is looking for when deciding on his college choice.
“From staying at home, to being with family, plus education, the relationship with the coaches, campus atmosphere and playing time,” Donaldson said. “It’s really a mixture of things.”
Donaldson also has official visits coming up to Florida State and North Carolina. First, though, is an official to lineman-starved Florida.
“I’m looking forward to being at the Florida vs. South Carolina game,” Donaldson said. “I like Jim McElwain a lot; he seems like a good coach to be around.”
Despite being committed to Miami since late July, Donaldson continues to be recruited by numerous schools, including Georgia, South Carolina and Louisville.

Personally I'd be more worried about fsu with him than uf by far tbh. Just because jimbo has gotten a lot of central kids up there in the past 5 years
He said he wants to compare and see which school is better to get him prepared for the league... LMAO what are they gonna tell him there? How many busts they have, that Flowers didn't go to Miami and be a top 10 picks? Richt got the most players in the NFL top 100 of anybody. Shouldn't be hard to keep him. We offer more in every aspect to an OL than UF
