We don’t have anyone dedicated to special teams and it shows. Other than the talent of our punter and kicker that unit is not a top 100 unit. You could argue it’s as big a problem as the defense. We have enough athletes, you can always have more. Teams that have someone who owns the special teams role execute fakes, take kicks to the house, block kicks, and cover kicks. We do all four of those things poorly and this is a huge indictment of the head coach. I would love to know what his answer would be as to why this unit is so bad.
