Southridge runs a Wing-T, or at least they did last year, and Cook is a pocket passer so I will be interested to see how this changes their scheme. They are a major threat next year with this pick-up

Pete,

what schools next year will make some serious noise for the best in Dade?
i know there are classifications etc, but who are your top 5 next year regardless of it?

Booker T is stacked! Might as well start with them at the top

Best team in Dade is Booker T. I was planning to release a more in-depth list closer to the season

A team that I'm really interested to see is Homestead. They have some big time talent with Lane and their running back Johnnie Hankins who score 12 TDs last year as a freshman at South Miami.

Columbus may be taking a step back, but there is still plenty of talent. QB Tucker Beirne transferred in from Colorado. MaxPreps named him one of the top 10 2015 kids in the country

Columbus D always does well. I know they lost a ton, but they always seem to be ok

And they will score with that backfield. They should be competitive as always. Will win districts again.

It will be interesting to see how they match up with St. Thomas

Definitely looking forward to seeing how Beirne does. He could be the successor of Baby Jesus himself one day.

Look forward to seeing Beirne live. Those HS clips were very impressive for a Frosh, but that release (something that sticks with you) is fairly long. Someone clean up that kid's release! He seems to have everything else. One example of a guy who cleaned up his release over a 2-3 year span was that Gulliver kid Strauss a few year's back. Not that he's done anything at Virginia, but he still ended up leaving Gulliver with a solid throwing motion.
