Aight so boom. Here's the Division 1 LBs down here in the class of 2023.
Bobby Washington, Miami Palmetto (6'3" 220) - Son of Dade County legend Bobby & twin of Miami signee Robby. Played first two years of prep ball in Tennessee and Georgia, junior year at Miami Killian, and senior year at Palmetto. Might be the most devastating hitter I've seen down here in at least 15 years. Bobby plays the game of football with unabashed hatred in his heart & delivers devastating blows to ballcarriers. Freakish twitch. Played some safety as a senior & looked good in coverage. In person, looks like a legit 6'3-6'4 225, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him grow into an edge defender. Can contribute immediately on special teams coverage. Injury history raises concerns. Miami signee.
Stanquan Clark, Miami Central (6'2" 215) - Miami Killian transfer. Nephew of former FSU standout and 1st round draft pick Derrick Gibson. Played safety first two years before moving to LB. The definition of playmaker, he filled the stat sheet up last two years of high school (233 tackles, 19 sacks, 69 TFLs & 2 INTs.) Great track athlete (11.24 100 & district qualifier in the shot put and discus.) Was the heart & soul of Central's title run. Played for Miami Immortals. True three-down LB. Louisville signee.
Marcus Woodley, Homestead (6'0" 230) - Started out at South Dade, then Somerset Silver Palms, before finishing career at Homestead. Played CB earlier in career and it shows in his sideline to sideline speed. Key contributor to Homestead's playoff run. 3 sacks and 15 TFLs as a senior. Western Michigan signee.
Gabe Hardman, Miami Palmetto (5'11" 208) - Sawed off linebacker that plays with his dreads on fire. Violent hitter in the run game. Plays the game with passion. 121 tackles, 5 sacks, 19 TFLs & 2 picks as a senior. Underrated. South Dakota signee.
Rashad Henry, St. Thomas Aquinas (6'2" 225) - Dade Christian transfer. Instinctive LB with lateral agility & toughness. Has some bad weight & will benefit greatly from a good college conditioning program. 74 tackles, 4 TFL & 2 picks (1 returned for TD) as a senior. UMass signee.
Jamarcus Smith, American Heritage (6'0" 230) - Monster senior season with 97 tackles, 11 sacks and 26 TFLs.. Great change of direction & very instinctive. Will need to work on tackling form. Has some bad weight, will benefit from a college conditioning program. Illinois State signee.
Jacorris Foreman, Pahokee (5'11" 205) - Monster senior season with 111 tackles, 12 sacks and 31 TFLs. Speedy LB prospect with range & agility. Narrowish frame & may be best at SS at the next level. Arrested in Hendry County as a freshman for a string of armed robberies, possession of a MAC-10 machine gun & aggravated battery; upon being arrested, it was discovered he had another warrant for armed robbery in Palm Beach County. Hopefully he has matured. Tennessee State signee.
Chris Presto, Cardinal Newman (6'2" 190) - Palm Beach Gardens transfer. Two way player at both WR and S but projects at LB at the next level. Athletic with great range, angles/pursuit and change of direction. 585 receiving yards and 7 TDs as a senior, along with two pick sixes on defense. Also an outfielder in baseball. Father starred on the baseball diamond for FAU before being drafted in the 5th round by the Cincinnati Reds in 1996. Southern Illinois signee.
