Really good at getting kids NOT to come to UM. Thats about it.

Welcome back. Keep this up and you'll be taking another vacation.

Tederall Slaton, Marco Wilson, Brian Burns, Tarvarus McFadden, Torrance Gibson, Sony Michel, Isaiah Mckenzie, Quincy Wilson......

We had 2 former Hurricanes at AH. I think it's a fair complaint that the only kid we got in the last couple years was Herbert. You can blame bags, Fat Al, or the elder Wilson - but Rumph has let us down in recruiting that school SO FAR. Either he didn't push kids to UM or he wasn't a part of their decision making process. I find neither of those acceptable. Now, he COULD redeem himself this year.

1. Criticizing Rumph is fine. Though he seems to only be evaluated based on 1 particular school, which is strange to me. Nothing else he does seems to matter. It's only what he does with AH kids, like that's the sole purpose he has on staff. But again, criticizing anyone is fine. Go for it.

2. Poco is a previous poster under a new name. He gets no grace from me when he returns in the 48 hrs after a season ending loss and immediately opens up both barrels. My statement was directed to him only.

Michel stays at UGA for 4th year to battle Chubb for carries. Walton, having accomplished next to nothing here, is gone after 3 to be a 4th rounder (and nobody was remotely surprised by his decision). I don't get why this always happens to us.

Why did Richt hire Rumph? He is an alum, had a good resume for a HS coach, and he could repair a strained relationship with a local powerhouse. He has done an above average job developing the guys he has coached. As far as getting credit for recruiting the guys not at AH, I ask a couple questions. Are they better than the AH players? Would another DB coach have been able to get Hall, Blades, Frierson, and Ivey? Would an elite recruiter have a better secondary even if he couldn't coach as well as Rumph?

Concerning your second point, thankfully I don't have to monitor this site and open every thread. That has to suck sometimes, like when a Sony Michel thread gets off-topic. As far as the stud RB goes, I don't think we had any chance with that one no matter what. It is well known that he got paid.

Elite rb who went to Richt which is a pattern that happened over and over again and quite frankly we're lucky because he should've gotten Alvin Kamara too

Michel stayed because he believed they could win a ship. Seems he may have been right.

But you're right, we seem to have a disproportionate number of kids with mediocre (or worse) NFL prospects deciding to leave early.

Slaton wanted to play dt which Richt didn't want, the Wilson's hate us with a passion include their punk *** father, Burns and McFadden weren't recruited anywhere near hard enough and that comes from Golden not Rumph especially when FSU was still strong, Gibson was a joke and his career has been a joke for the decision he made, Sony ok if you want to blame him for that fine but Richt has shown he's maybe the best at recruiting RBS in the country and McKenzie nevrr got interest. Recruiting is almost never that simple especially when kids male dumb choices and schools don't value a player as they should so blaming one coach every single time at one school gets lazy

When you are winning or on the verge of winning kids come back. When are you just ok Kids go for the money. Had Walton been healthy, dependong on how things went this season I think he'd have more to think about. But since he suffered a season ending injury it makes more sense to leave.

It makes more sense to leave after your supposed break through season was ruined by injury? That doesn't make sense.

Rumph didn't work for Miami before last year.

You guys are hilarious if you think kids go where their coaches want them to go.

Sadly........ Many and I mean many think this which makes recruiting unbearable at this time seeing so many posters post dumb ****

If so, then Richt knows how to recruit, right?

You know when Richt was first hired, I thought he was a sneaky bagman recruiter dressed in pastor robes (it's how he got Sony, after all). But the more and more I read about boosters at UGA being at odds at Richt, the more I'm realizing that Richt was real hesitant to play the bag game at UGA and that's what led to his undoing there.
