This is something I posted on my facebook page at the end of the year. It was hard to pick just ten things but it was good to look back on 2013 and remember the good things that happened.
No. 10
Back in the BCS rankings. It didn't end so well, but it was a blast watching the Canes climb up back into the Top Ten of the BCS rankings this year. This is where we belong and hope the coaching staff at Miami can get it going again.
No. 9
Warren Sapp Inducted into NFL Hall of Fame. Always a thirill to see a Cane inducted into the Hall of Fame. Sapp's speech at the induction ceremony was moving as well.
No. 8
Coach Golden keeps recruiting rolling. you have to admit that what Coach Golden has done in the time he has been here to keep Miami afloat has been remarkable. He has the Canes in the top of the recruiting ranks once again. NSD should be really interesting.
No. 7
Coach Jim Larranaga wins the Naismith coach of the Year Award. Love this man! He is a true leader of young men and he is one of the few coaches I would send my own son to play for. Great to see him honored with the Naismith Award this year, as well as the AP Coach of the Year.

Stacey Coley chooses the U. National signing Day wasn't going so good at the beginning, but when Stacey Coley put on that SWAG hat, the whole mood of the day changed. That was a hugely uplifting moment.

Miami defeats #1 Duke 90-63. What a fun, fun, fun game that was. The crowd was electric, and **** Vitale wailing "lay up after lay up after lay up after lay up after lay up after lay up after lay up" will never be forgotten. This game put Canes Hoops back on the map.
No. 4
Women's tennis team wins ACC Championship. As a huge tennis fan, this was great to see. The ladies have something really good going in Miami and they just might be challenging for the national title in the next couple of years.
No. 3
NCAA Crapathon is finally over. What a miserable three years. But I was proud to see how Miami acknowledged their mistakes, and cleaned up their own mess while the NCAA kept crapping the bed. And I swear Mark Emmert is looking more and more like Gothmog to me every day.
No. 2
Miami defeats Florida 21-16. Florida doesn't think they need to play us anymore so this will be the last game for a while. So it sure felt good to watch the Canes send them home with a loss. The Gators will always be looking up at the Hurricanes.

Canes Hoops wins Regular Season ACC title, ACC Tournament Championship and advances to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. What a fun ride this was. I will never forget this basketball team. They were on the front page of sports sites constantly; they went all the way up to No. 2 in the rankings and brought back Canes Hoops for good. I'll cherish this season forever.
