He's now one of the best LBs in the country.

He would have come had we really recruited him.

That's not true... Gio didn't want to stay... FSU, UF and any other school within the state and southern part of the country could have got the kid... He chose ND then switched to UNC when Weiss got fired... Lets stop making up things... The kid wanted to leave the state despite recruiting pitches from everyone... As for Shazier, he wanted to leave as well... Even his commitment to UF was soft... And Meyer quitting gave him a reason to look around more...

The kid wanted to get away as well... We can play this game all day... Why is Rakeem Cato and Tom Shuler killing it Marshal instead of the U? Why is Jamie Wilson killing it at Western Michigan? Why did CJ Spiller go to Clemson? Some kids choose other schools for whatever reason... Their reasons...
 
And STA always had players come to Miami... Before, during, and after RS... AG doesn't recruit it anymore or any better... At one point kids decide and coaches recruit the players they think will impact the team...

are you seriously claiming that randy Shannon recruited bernard hard? That's just not true.

I'm just saying how can you say he didn't recruit the kid hard when it was clear that he didn't want to come to Miami let alone stay in state... We took 3 players from STA and two of the prospects was his main blockers and the kid still opted to go away... He didnt want to come here... It wasn't Randy fault or any other coach fault... We always stayed in good relations with STA... Our track record with pulling prospects from that school has been good since Irvin was catching passes from their...
