Cause I sure as **** hate being depressed about this team 24/7. Can Golden salvage his career if he ****cans the right people? (Kehoe, Dorito, Jethro)

Obviously it depends on who he hires but cot dammit I need something to believe in.

Scapegoating hasn't worked in the last 10 years we have been doing it, so I highly doubt it is going to work now, with a coach who is eerily similar to the last two.

The coordinators who should be fired are the ones running the athletic department.

There is none. We haven't been relevant for a decade. Next years recruits were ****ting in diapers the last time this program was worth a ****.

We fire ****** coaches pretty quickly once they have bad seasons, so we got that going for us.

Awesome recruiting class coming in to help cure our ails. Maybe not right away but hopefully we have some more playmakers. It's really sad to accept the fact that the last two years our best playmaker has been a freshman. (Duke 2012, Coley 2013). Let's keep graduating the guys that haven't lived up to their billing or preseason hype and make room for some young and hungry JUCOs and freshmen.

I'm like you man, but if you look at what we have coming in this year, let's hope this can help. We have from both sides of the ball talent and lots of it coming in. Remember we have not been able to recruit currently until this year. Remember two years ago all the Shannon kids left at the last minute, we were not able to bring in quality recruits to replace them, most of those cats are gone or are buried on the depth chart. Last year we lost out at the last minute on a few guys we wanted, but who would have thought we would lose 3 veteran LBs in the offseason.

At least before we had the hope of a Shannon firing. Now, these ***** use that cloud crap as carte blanche to suck *** and excuse it away. Last stand for a respectable football program.

Only possible hope is a new DC in full control and massive improvement from Coley.

I don't see either happening. Coley, maybe. That's a stretch, doe.

I hate to use cliches but this one is true: insanity = doing the same **** over and over and expecting different results. Three of the same head coaches hired. We scapegoated assistants and coordinators before realizing that the head man in charge was the real cancer. You would think that some fans would realize, from experience, that doing the same thing in this instance isn't going to do ****.

At this point, I don't even think replacing Golden would do ****, since the admin, who isn't dedicated to a winning football program, isn't going to hire the necessary replacement anyways. More of the same. Shalala, the AD, boosters, and BOT all need to be looked at. Unfortunately, that is virtually impossible, so strap in for the ride Canes fans.

Will have give Jethro a pass for couple of years, the talent on the d-line is just not there. Weak, slow non athletic d-line would not be any better with a coaching change. OP really had his best game last night against the run, Porter has gotten to big and slow and is a non factor. Green has tons of heart but no legs only 1 sack in 4 years must be a record for a starting d-end, Chick has gotten bigger but has no pass rushing skills at all just no burst off the line. Just what doe's it tell you when 2 juco d-line coming in are the 2 strongest players on the team. Coley could change to the d-coordinator he has no problem stopping our offense. Kehoe just not sure if it's lack of talent, our o-line just seems to big and slow.

I would be willing to bet the first thing looked at when hiring a coach. Is the image it portrays on the program . Not wins and losses.

Recruiting class is the only thing keeping me from full on depression.
The one who the current staff and admin will ruin inevitably? I feel sorry for you. Really I do.

What makes you think they will ruin it?
Gee, I don't know. Maybe that "scheme" we run on defense that doesn't properly utilize the talent we recruit. Or maybe it is the offense which has three plays in the playbook. Tough question.
