It’s not always about money. The comp will probably be similar. It’s just the reality right now until Mario changes the perception of the program, which I believe he will: Alabama recruits betters DBs and has better DBs on the roster right now. TRob can immediately take credit for a bunch of draft picks that would have been drafted anyway. And he’s more likely to get promoted to a coordinator position since Alabama is a farm factory for coordinator and head coaching positions.T-Rob to Bama would be a tough look unless he received a promotion to Co-DC there. The whole new selling point was we would be able to keep/hire top assistants and money wasn't going to be an issue.
Mario is obviously a guy who performs deep due diligence before he takes actions. It will pay off in the long run but somewhat frustrating now that the only hire outside of Oregon people is Kevin Smith. The college football season ended 9 days ago... this stuff moves really fast to get top talent. Hopefully some moves shake out over the next few days.
I agree w you. I don't think its a done deal completely but I wouldn't blame the dude if he wants to be a real DC again and sees Ala as the quickest way to get thereI think this is why Mario never announced the holdovers. CYA to protect in the even a guy did dip. Again I could be a huge homer here, but I’ve leveraged new salary offers before and I never went to old/current employer with the job offer if I had no intentions of staying. Again this isn’t CFB coaching but still.
That's a lieEvery new regime Miami always say “money will not be an issue“ only to be out bidded by shell gas station
For sure. We’ll see I’d imagine this moves quick.I agree w you. I don't think its a done deal completely but I wouldn't blame the dude if he wants to be a real DC again and sees Ala as the quickest way to get there
That was pretty sinister, my guy.Every new regime Miami always say “money will not be an issue“ only to be out bidded by shell gas station
The wallet is open, and we'll find a very good replacement. The days of extorting Miami are over. Working for Saban is like going to purgatory before reaching heaven. Doesn't always work out for everybody. This . Hate to lose him, but if he decides to bounce, “Haul ***, bruh”! We’ll hire someone else.
Or will we?This . Hate to lose him, but if he decides to bounce, “Haul ***, bruh”! We’ll hire someone else.
How do you know we were too slow on Raymond?Or will we?
We were too slow on Corey Raymond. Losing TRob would be taking an L unless we replace him with equal or greater than stature in coaching and/or recruiting.
YupWe can make it to 900 tonight.
I read the post on CIS indicating such. It may be in this thread. How do you know we were too slow on Raymond?
