in this case, its likely similar sourcing (gaby could get info from their 247). no current staff members were officially retained publicly fwiw
Maybe. Sounds like Bama has their own source in their program and Gabby’s is different.

it'd essentially be the same role here and Bama. no play calling more money. the diff will come down to either being part of nick sabans coaching rehab clinic to get back to being a DC or taking his chances here as a DB coach
Taking his chances here? Bull****.

Are people more worried or annoyed? Because they are entirely different things.
I think many people are annoyed by what looks like indecision and some are worried because he took all the time in the world at Oregon and had some stinkers at OC/DC. Now add TRob may bail and right or wrong that shine is starting to come off real quick for quite a few fans

Would Miami take Golding for T-Rob??
****. Idk. I feel like you have to take that trade.

Even though it'd likely be a downgrade at DB there's other solid DB coaches out there that could lessen the hit. Especially with Mario on the trail supporting.

Man if it’s this far along it’s likely a done deal, unless we make it worth it for him
It sounds like he’s giving Miami the opportunity to keep him. Unless Bama is gonna pay coordinator money for him, which isn’t out of the realm of possibility, you don’t give Miami the opportunity to match if you aren’t serious about staying.

I mean Nick Saban assistants have gotten their shot to get back to where they were. it isn't a stretch to think oh hey I may be a DC again quicker if I go with the machine at Bama vs miami. it doesn't mean Mario is trash. it means Bama is good and its why they hire former NFL HCs as assistants there

T-Rob to Bama would be a tough look unless he received a promotion to Co-DC there. The whole new selling point was we would be able to keep/hire top assistants and money wasn't going to be an issue.

Mario is obviously a guy who performs deep due diligence before he takes actions. It will pay off in the long run but somewhat frustrating now that the only hire outside of Oregon people is Kevin Smith. The college football season ended 9 days ago... this stuff moves really fast to get top talent. Hopefully some moves shake out over the next few days.

I think this is why Mario never announced the holdovers. CYA to protect in the even a guy did dip. Again I could be a huge homer here, but I’ve leveraged new salary offers before and I never went to old/current employer with the job offer if I had no intentions of staying. Again this isn’t CFB coaching but still.

Dude, you always use that line.

I mean let him, don’t do anything to discourage him, he’s just making himself a fool of himself, just like he’s always done.

So now he’s being a simple minded contrarian, adjusting his porsts and current events to anything that shlts on the current regime. That’s fine. It’s not like this guy is the master of intellectual discourse.

Most people never change.
