I would think that Cristobal would talk to Highsmith about Hurtt. He is a great recruiter, but I have no idea about as a coordinator. Highsmith would probably know a lot more, if he thought he had what it took, or if it was a bad idea.

That's the problem with his tenure in Seattle. Pete tends to let the OC and DC do their thing beginning of the season. Then he gets impatient and takes over playcalling or overrides things then eventually fires coordinators to save his own job. Pete even has final say over player personnel stuff o er the GM. Long story short it is hard to say how good Hurtt actually is at this point
