My only concern with the delayed announcement relates to the transfer portal. Transfers want to know how they will be utilized, the scheme being employed by the coordinator, the relationship with the position coach and how the new school will prepare them for the NFL. While a head coach can share his vision, the lack of a coordinator and position coach hampers the recruitment to some extent.

Now, if these coaches have been hired but simply not announced, or there are no transfer portal players that we REALLY want at this time, then there is ZERO concern from my end on the timing. Letting the public know about the staff means nothing. And, Mario can recruit high school players just fine without much help.

Transfer portal student athletes make their decisions from now through the spring and right up until August.

Not worried.

You may feel urgency or impatience, I’m not sure anyone else that’s involved in the process does. Look at the timeline of transfer portal announcements last year.

Yes, and just to be clear, I was only commenting about the report (no pun intended) on CaneReport. That report lists Field as a position coach (TEs), so I'm just observing what that website is saying, and pointing out that even on its face value, it doesn't seem to be fully accurate.

Obviously, I'd be much happier to see an official UM release, but I'm also not that worried either. I trust Mario, even if that means I have to be a bit more patient than, say, a Gaytor fan...

All valid and relevant points.

I would only say this. I realize that not every Portal kid is going to be able to take a visit...but how awesome is it that these Portal guys "might only" be able to schedule a trip to 70/80 degree Miami instead of some of these cold-weather locations that are getting snowed in...

If we have them all by spring it should be good as long as Mario and the other coaches are out recruiting which I’m sure they are.

Plus the fact that just because we don’t know who all the coaches are I’m pretty sure Mario does and can let interested players know if he feels it’s what’s needed

Agree. It also looks a little disorganized and disjointed when Mirabal is announcing on Twitter that he’s on staff and there’s no actual announcement from the school.

Nobody doing edits bro. They emptied the money clip on Mario and Rad. Just keep checking the twitter accounts of any coach that has been mentioned, and that is how you will find out.

Thanks. Was not sure of the math and numbers between Mario+who was announced+who was left..

I blame Mario for not officially announcing 😉
