It's always about the team. Sometimes individuals need to be showcased for the betterment of the team. Look at how TVD made us look. If and when Mario selects an OC who builds his offense around TVD (and then Garcia) and allows our best players to maximize our collective offensive potential, the [seemingly fair] Herbert mentions will go away. Till then, people are worried the issue will be repeated. It happens. I believe (maybe hope?) Mario learned from the experience.

Last sentence is it. If Mario is the guy we all think (or hope) he is, then he’s the kind of guy that would learn whatever lessons there were to learn from that experience and use it to continue evolving.

Running more than throwing is a sign of winning most of the time as of late. Hard to take into account % of plays run an all of that.

Just give me a team that can win on the ground and through the air. Which is what we’re going to try to be. If joe Moorhead is your OC, you run his offense. If Briles is your OC, you run his offense. It’s not going to be Mario forcing them to run the ball.

Bruh… dude is a former head coach, in the NFL! Are u serious? No matter what we think of him as an OC, or his offensive system. Having a former NFL HC at your disposal… even one that wasn’t that successful as an NFL HC, as an analyst…is gold. And he’s like the BFF of our HC. So he won’t feel pressure to be a **** “yes man”. He’ll tell him the truth that others may be afraid to say to the head coach.

This... How was Bill O Brian as an NFL HC? Is he an innovative OC now for UA? I think the point is Mario needs people that will hold him accountable and someone who has seen the NFL side first hand. With his and Chud's relationship you have both IMO, doesnt mean Mario won't have the final say however its always good to have someone to question your motives good or bad.
