Best cheesesteaks in America.

When I was in the army I'd drive home every other weekend and stop there before visiting my own family.

But everyone talks about steaks.... I love my hoagie.
Gooie Louie's #1 for me. Love a good Italian hoagie.
Underrated are the roast pork sandwiches. I can’t remember where we used to get them from.

Serious question, when Taggart handed him the Oregon job how many coaches did christobal hire?

Mario had to hire five coaches (to replace 3 plus himself, as the number of coaches went from 10 to 11 in 2018) when he started at Oregon.

Mario had to hire Jim Mastro (RB) on 1/20/2018 because Donte Pimpleton (RB) followed Willie Taggart to F$U.
Mario had to hire Bobby Williams (ST) on 1/26/2018 and Cort Dennison (OLBs) on 1/21/2018 because Raymond Woodie (ST/OLB) followed Willie Taggart to F$U.
Mario had to hire Donte Williams (CB) on 1/3/2018 to (eventually) replace Charles Clark, who was not retained (Williams was originally hired to be OLB coach, but moved over to CB when Cort Dennison was hired).
Mario hired Alex Mirabal to replace himself as a position coach (OL), and Mirabal was the last guy hired in that first cycle, February 20, 2018.

Mario has interviewed over ten people at OC , some names we’ve heard , some we haven’t. Ironically DC names aren’t as prevalent. Weird. People got word of interviews and thats how names leak out and they’re now the “front runner “ lol. Sound familiar ?

Briles and Candle were never offered. Candle spoke with Mario and has a previous relationship with him. There’s a reason Feldman never co-signed either rumor. I posted weeks ago Mario has a rep of being very meticulous and tends to over think things. That many interviews should tell you that . As Jay said there’s been really good names that’s interviewed , even though that goes against the narrative lunatics here have created. Mario is willing to wait before moving on. He’s now at that point , a timeline was set for a coordinator and it’s now passed. Thats why I expect something very soon. It’s either plan A or B.
Do you have a timeline for the announcement? Like this week or next week? My productivity at work is begging for help

@PIPO Pagano's off of 74th and Ogontz used to be the spot to go to.

Til the Chinese bought em out.

There's a hidden gem in Olney across from Olney High by the papi grocery store that had the best chicken cheesesteaks.
Can't remember the name of em and doubt they are open anymore.
I never went to Pagano’s.

Larry’s is the hidden spot for me. Near St. Joseph’s University off City Line Ave and 54th St.

Tough topic because depending on how you like your meat, it will alter your recommendations. Some like it chopped, some like it sliced. Dalessandro's is super chopped up and freakin delicious. Wasnt crazy about Chubby's. Johns Roast Pork is outstanding. Jim's has been hit and miss with me...Ive had good ones and some super greasy. Max is tight! Id love to try Gooie Louie and Leo's some day. I do like Steve's Prince of Steaks. Someone sent me to Ishkabibbles once....never again. Had the worst at Tony's last time I went. It was a pathetic sandwich. Campo's is a no for me. Ive had some good late night one's at Sonnys.

I dont often have time when I dip into Philly to really hit the tavern's and off the map stuff as much. Always looking for recommendations.
****! Sorry Tony’s let you down.

Funny that no one has mentioned Pat’s & Gino’s because us that know what’s up, they are for the tourist.

BTW - never go with the Whiz. Go with the Provolone

TL??? Man, last time I went there, they threw 2 old slabs of meat on stale bread with a spritz of whiz and served it up. Appreciate the tip on Larry's. Im in.
It’s near St. Joseph’s University. It’s chopped up steak. Not the slabs of steak. City Ave & N. 54th st, behind the basketball arena.

Duffs in Buffalo is legit, not sure they moved south. They had a franchise open in Rochester but it closed last year.
This one was opened by a guy from Buffalo. Other than the wings nothing was good about the one down here. Drinks were terrible, service was sh*t. Probably would’ve closed regardless of COVID. The wings were probably the best I’ve ever had though.

I have stated this before there is a place in Chicago called Oven Grinders, every time I got to Chicago it is a regular stop for me. Can’t go to Chicago without eating there once. Cash only and they due a take on the deep dish pizza but it is really a deep dish pot pie, picture a 90 year old Sicilian lady must be up at 3am to start making the marinara from scratch. Hands down insanely good and their Mediterranean flat bread is fire. Everyone that goes to Chicago has to try it once. Opens at 4pm and by 4:15pm there is a line to get a table.
Anywho any other news????
That name sounds like a place where you get more than pizza
