Billy D I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, just keeping it 100 and i respect that....but cmon guys let's not do this tonight guys.....

Because we ALL KNOW where this convo is going to go and it's 1000% not going to be about coaching candidates or football.....

THIS convo will get the thread LOCKED....

I encourage all to keep it football related and don't respond.

Now I know what he meant by “like kind “ and yea that’s stupid….especially cause I’m pretty sure Brady isn’t Cuban or went to Columbus..😜

All I can say is i know all you ******** are true fans. Nobody in their right mind could follow a team that, even when finally taking itself seriously, is still insanely unorthodox and frustrating as **** to f

I thought it was already done?

This process has been bizarre, to say the least. I appreciate the nuggets you have dropped, but I hope when it’s all said and done, you can provide some insight as to why this has dragged on for almost 9 weeks.

I understand the wait and see approach with the OC, but I’m baffled by the DC stuff.
it may have been done in that hes the guy we zeroed in, but till its announced it was never done formally. we didn't wait on announcing Kevin Smith. we wouldn't wait here esp with NSD so close.

I really think Brady thinking he’s going to get an OC job in the NFL is a pipe dream..I mean he’s got what 2 years with the Saints as an analyst and had nothing to do with calling plays cause Payton did that. Then one year as WR coach and passing game coordinator with LSU and kind of split play calling with Steve Ensminger that helped produce one of the greatest offenses in the history of CFB.This job was also off a major recommendation from Sean Payton that he gave Orgeron for him to even get the job. Then he left LSU for Carolina where he was hired as OC off that great year at LSU and was fired halfway through the season though people say it was Rhules fault 🤷‍♂️

What I’m looking at if I’m an NFL GM is that the guy really only has 2 years of calling plays ( really not even that if you consider he split PC at LSU and was fired halfway through his Carolina stint) and one of those he was working under someone else and the other one he wasn’t very successful and got fired halfway through the season no matter whose fault it was it’s on his resume.

So as much as I’d like to have him at Miami if I’m a NFL GM there’s no way I’m putting him back into an OC position until he gets a lot more experience and can prove that he’s capable of handling things at the next level.

So looking at his resume I don’t see any GM putting him in charge of their offense off what he has done so I see no reason whatsoever why he should not take the UM job cause I personally don’t think there’s any chance he gets offered an OC job in the NFL…..obviously this is just my opinion and like ******** everyone has one.
"Imo " he overvalued himself as a pro coordinator and I believe he realized that. That would explain talks starting back up. If he wants to call plays , stay relevant and make great money this is the better career path back to the league. Just my thoughts.
Is a bidding war with Houston causing the hold up with Belk?
No , I said it was a fake scenario. If it were that regardless of the school bidding you make it happen. I mean if he's your guy.

As far as the OC hire goes....

At this point, I look at it this way.

If a Joe Moorhead offense quarterbacked by Anthony Brown can have Oregon at 10-2 heading into the Pac-12 title game....

Then I'm good with Liam Coen if that's who Mario rides with to get the job done as OC.

I agree hence my statement and why I said him getting an OC job this year is a pipe dream…someone ( maybe his agent) is selling him fools gold cause I don’t think there’s any chance he gets an NFL job unless he willing to take a WR coach just to stay close to the NFL…again just my uneducated opinion.

Agree 100% All we heard was how organized he was etc. etc. We al know what a rolodex he had, but by the looks of things we sure can't tell. People can spin it how they want, but this is oc/dc situation and allowing his best recruiters/coaches to skate is a bit disappointing.
I’ve been saying this all along. Most guys get hired and have a list of guys they call right away. Not saying it’s never happened but I’ve never seen anything like this.
