He has good WAR too. He was obviously the best defensive CF for close to a decade. His numbers are really good once you get past the batting average.

Problem was once he turned 30 he fell off a cliff. They believe to be a HOF you still need to produce deep into your 30’s. Injuries and just getting fat derailed his career. I’m a Braves fan and he was absolutely amazing in the OF

OK I’ll give you he was an absolutely great centerfielder defensively, but you actually think he’s Hall of Fame worthy?
Well **** yeah. Someone shows up and asks you who is the greatest defensive outfielder to ever see the light of day and you can’t show them their face, that’s an issue.

Oh and tac on 400+ Homeruns and a silver slugger

He did fall off but his career started at 19. It’s not like his career started at 26 or 27.

what’s the coaching update if any lol
Supposedly 90% of the staff is done.

DC is done, it remains to be seen if OC is done.

We don’t know if CB’s coach has been hired yet, or who exactly might be ST’s coach.

And Bryan McClendon might be the leading candidate for the UGA’s WR’s coach spot, so we might lose him.

We don’t know much as of now... That’s the update.

Take Ortiz everyday and twice on Sunday. i mean how many .254 hitters are in the HOF. Great defender but you only getting a hit 1 out of 4 times.
What would Jones’ average be if he only hit. I didn’t know it was the Hall of good hitters. Defense has to matter.

Andruw Jones lowkey gives me the Dwight Howard feel as a parallel as far as accolades.. it’s like people forgot how great they were faster than they should have
People knock Andruw for falling off at 30…. But how many players had played that many games at 30 like he had? How many 30 year olds laid the **** out like he did on turf and beat their body up saving runs?

I just can’t get excited about Andruw, when people like Barry Bonds and others aren’t even being considered. Newsflash they were all doing steroids in one form or another back then, well maybe not all but most of the people that have made the Hall of Fame also did steroids from that era

Nobody would want him just to hit.....they can pay alot less and call up a minor league player to hit .254

Dwight Howard going mental made people forget how good he was.

I’m saying if Jones was a DH and only focused on that would his numbers be the same? Jones dedicated a ton of time to being an elite defender. The one year he dedicated more time to improving his swing he hit 50 bombs.

Who struck out more Jim Thome or Mario Cristobal?

Anyway folks we got a great show tonight coach Moe is here.

Dream outfield from my youth:

LF - Miguel Cabrera before he discovered pastelitos and ate his way to the infield
CF - Ken Griffey Jr, smoothest man in baseball history. I owned every shoe and cleat he released.
RF - Vlad Guerrero, most disrespectful arm in the sport and had a couple obscene offensive seasons before leaving Mont

Missed the cut:
Barry Bonds - our front office didn't want to accept the liability of his heart exploding rough his chest at any moment like Alien
Manny Ramirez - an absolute G who raked his face off and didn't give F
Gary Sheffield - Iconic stance and bat speed
