I don’t think Shemar actually gives a sh*t.

He’ll pick the school based on the program, the HC & the ability to make him a first round draft pick.
(How much money he gets in a NIL deal)

Position coaches & coordinators are ancillary reasons that factor in, but not determine, especially for DLinemen.

QB’s & offensive players are a different story...

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Here’s the deal, though. If the quotes attributed to him regarding the fact that he needs, or it’s important to him, that the DC be selected before he makes a commitment, it sounds like to me he’s already building it in as an excuse.

Does it sound that way to you? Assuming my interpretation is correct. Maybe I’m interpreting this incorrectly, but it just sounds too easy to say something like that if you’re already not planning to go with Miami.

That’s his handler who said that about not having a DC, Shemar hasn’t said anything, he rarely ever does.

But that’s precisely what it is, it’s Coach Moe’s way of justifying if he doesn’t pick Miami.

I thought he got fired for cause for hitting a kid? Either way he seems really unlikely.
He did. But "hitting" is a wayyyy too heavy a term to describe what he actually did. They ended up not deeming it "with cause" and just fired him outright. That's why he got the full buyout.

I have a few friends that are from that area or went to UW so I know more about them than I actually want to or generally care to admit.

I gotcha. He had been pretty lackluster as the HC there. I figured the hitting thing was their out to get off him as HC.

Thanks for clarifying that. I was just referencing something I read here. It looked like it was Shemar that actually said that, but now it turns out it’s his handler. That is an important distinction. Thank you.

Listen to Mario comments in the locker room after they beat Washington. Seemed very personal to Mario.

Stranger things have happened but I don’t see Mario hiring him or Lake wanting to work for him.
