I didnt wake up after a few hours just to get in this thread. Last night I had a Stromboli and garlic rolls from the Big Cheese, and its hitting me like I ate 6 bean burritos from taco bell.

They’re known as feral hogs. Texas has such a huge problem with them that they weren’t killing enough of them with traditional hunting tactics. Florida has a problem with them as well but we’re nowhere in the stratosphere of Texas. They’re disgusting, mean little ***** and they will try to kill you.

Yeah I hear ya man, I just feel like thats a lot of money in all that fuel and ammo, swear he only dropped a couple in that clip probably could had more success from the ground. Then again like you said they got a lot of ground to cover in that state, maybe it's just easier to get to certain places with the yopper.

Of course I’m accurate bro! I’m probably the biggest hunter on the board. Gator, iguana, ducks, Deer of all kinds, hog, elk, moose, etc. The only thing I don’t do is land predators. That’s for ******* trophy hunters and I ain’t about that. I eat the deer, ducks(not from FL) elk, and moose and everything I hunt is to help with population control.

We have a lot of wild hogs in GA. Nasty lil muhfuccas.

Just saw a podcast with a former navy seal called Dj Shipley who was in seal team 6 of a while.

Back before this area got more populated we had a feral hog and her piglets visit the backyard one night. There wasn't a blade of grass left in a 30x30 section of my yard.

Supposedly all our feral hogs can be traced back to 13 hogs let go by Hernando DeSoto in Tampa Bay in 1525.

Are they good eating? I know some people prefer the taste of wild boar (referred to as “cinghiale” in Italian) to domestic hogs.

Yeah I actually seen a kid almost bleed out from taking a tusk to the calf, hogs aint nothing to play with

For real, haven’t had that in years. They put me on a drug that fixed it. Brilliant endocrinologist in Richmond. I’ve been off the drug for years and it’s gone down again so I’ve got to deal with it with once more. It takes about 10 months or so to correct.

As for the downvoters - never liked it. Even worse if someone never posts and just downvotes people or serial revenge down voters.

Doesn't bother me at all if someone down votes me. Its funny actually. My point is that if you disagree then reply back and say why instead of down voting and never responding. Im not on any social media platforms so i dont understand the world of likes and dislikes. Its corny to me.

Well, they’re an invasive species. They **** near destroy everything in their path (crops, land, etc.), cost farmers tons of cash, and they mate like crazy. Something has to be done to control their population. Shooting them from a helicopter with a high powered military grade rifle seems a bit extreme, but it’s not my farmland that they’re destroying. I just hope they’re doing something useful with the meat, like feeding the homeless.

My mom lives in Paris, Texas. When I drive up from Dallas to visit her, I’ll sometimes see packs of them hanging out by the road once you get out in East Texas.
