We got to see this team at their best. Not just for a few years, but for decades. We saw possibly the best college football team of all time. We got to sit in the Orange Bowl and experience the greatest atmosphere in sports. Unfortunately for those who did not get to experience that, you never will. Not even making it to the ACCCG with the best statistical offense we’ve ever had and a franchise changing quarterback tells me we will never see those days again. Hard to swallow but I at least have some of the best memories one could have with their favorite team. I’ll continue to follow this program as long as I live but I’ll be following the same way South Carolina or Louisville fans follow theirs. Just hope for some good wins and maybe every once in a while win 9 games. That’s who we are now. Thank you for the memories and I’m thankful for YouTube

I’m taking solace in the fact that I don’t have to see the last good coach we had along with our ex players destroy us next week. Also gives our great leader more time to recruit some more high ranked talent so we can maintain the 7-5 status quo of the last 20 years.

I know. Miami is never coming back and it starts with the social fabric of South Florida radically changing and devolving since the tough street guys of the 80s-early-2000s. We will never win with the state of coaching and education in South Florida. We will never have enough tough, smart, aggressive, and disciplined players again to win big--and win consistently. We caught lightning in a bottle twice and it will never be seen again. The times have long since changed and we have been forever passed by. We had our magical run, but it ended in 2005 for good (vs. LSU).

It's not simply about coaching or Xs & Os. We will never field teams with multiple NFL HoFs again. We even struggle to get enough solid college players and glue guys like James Lewis, Mo Sikes, Leonard Myers, Marquise Fitzgerald, Al Marshall, Quad Hill, etc.

When I look at the current (and recent) roster, the only guys I see like the above are guys like Restrepo, Berrios, Jaquan Johnson, Redwine, etc.

You really need at least 5-8 stars and then 10-15 really good college players to win every week and beat teams when it is their "Super Bowl." We are really missing those guys--especially on defense.

It’s easy to tell who has never won anything on this board.

Scarcity mindset
Hopeless mindset

We lost the program is facing some adversity.

We’ll have to chance to respond.
