I know Sojourn is trying to get him to come with. They seem to be good friends and have talked about playing together.

It's something like this: "Hey man, FSU dropped me and no one else in Florida offered me except UCF, so I'm going to Wisconsin. You should come too even though you have every option in the state of Florida begging you to stay"
I have followed recruiting for a number of years. Kids do not usually seem to choose their schools based on where their friends go. I know that I didn't.
Just a bit of a poll here. Did any of you choose your college because that is where your friends went (girlfriends excluded)?

I don't think UF has offered Collins yet amazingly enough, although they're finally starting to notice him.
Muschamp is avoiding South Florida like the plague, and for good reasons.
I believe a large part of the reason for that is the loss of Aubrey Hill, who was in charge of the area. Unfortunately, I doubt UF will stay out of SoFla long term
I went to a school as far as possible from where everyone in my high school went. The "package deal" thing is always overrated, very few ever come to fruition.

Why would he waste his time trying to recruit SFl and struggle to create pipelines like Jimbo Fisher is doing? Muschamp is savvy enough to know that there's enough talent from the Tampa area and north to GA and the Carolinas. It's an uphill battle for UF in SFl with Miami, Alabama and FSU all having a stronger presence.
