Perryman is a stud, he has a knack for being around the ball and making the play. If healthy Buchanan should start. MLB is a toss up, Gaines was not impressive at all. All the other guys a pretty much unknown what they can do.

Perryman and Buchanan will definitely lock down two of the three spots. The third guy (Cain/Gaines) may get beat out by a more capable freshmen.

Gaines disappeared at the end of last year. Don't remember him playing much at all down the stretch

FWIW, 11 months isn't a lot of time to come back from an ACL tear. Usually take 2 years to be fully back.
