SMU’s approach to Dallas recruiting has been sensational. There is buy-in in DFW right now.

They aren't ever going to sign the 5 stars, but a lot of kids they can win with, like Proche the WR who had such a great year for them, are buying in. I'm hearing a lot of chatter amongst those 3 star type Dallas kids. That area's like So Fla, there are no-namers who go on to ball out at D1 every year. Might not be NFL kids but kids who are an inch or two too short for Oklahoma and Texas. They are getting their name out in South Dallas really hard, and they have made some hires with connections to all those South Dallas schools. I think it will be more effective for them than Ice or whoever has been for us.

Im talking fans, SMU always had average ti dece t teams in the last 15 years but could never get the fans to buy in.

smallish private school, big city - their profile is very similar to ours, actually.
