If we get 6, kirkland, grace, collins, aqm, williams, bryant, another good dt make our class top 5?

depends on your metric.
scoring with need as a consideration, it is a great class, top ten no doubt.
scoring on total class (rivals style) it will likely be just outside the top ten in all likelihood (but still a great class).

bostwick or coley (would be nice to have both) in there as well would hit everything short of the instant impact dt since it seems we are (for now) on the outside of the top remaining uncommitted jucos high interest lists.

Class size too small but I would be extremmely happy if we pull in all those studs with Coley

I Hate the rankings ...I think more along the lines of if the staff has done its homework on a kid and have them #1 on their board at a certin Position and they land that kid its a 5 star pickup. Now that list from the OP has alot of guys that Im sure are #1 on our board @ their positions. I tend to trust a coach like AL and Butch in evaluating the talent of football players more so then some cat like tom lemming, or lugenbill. After 2008 and signing the #1 class in the country and seeing how that played out I have not put a whole lot of excitment in the Rankings ....**** we have won 5 National titles and I'm not sure that those were on the back of #1 recruiting classes. Not ****ing on the thread Getting these kids would be great More because AL believes so not because Scout says so.

Who cares about rank!!!! It that happens we did work!!!

exactly what i was thinking. if we pulled that off, we know we got players, got the studs in our back yard and filled in holes with some national guys (sandland, williams, aqm) I dont need no rankings to let me know we upgraded our roster. I will be happy as **** regardless

If we sign those guys and keep hold of the kids we've already got then who cares how ESPN or Rivals ranks it?

Every (intelligent) Canes fan will know that Golden killed it and we'll have significantly improved the roster. There are some utter studs in that list.

Not sure about other sites but Rivals based their class rankings off of 17 highest rank players. Once we eclipse 17 commits it'll shoot us up in the rankings. Don't know where we'll end up though

This is the first class in a long time where I truly do not give a **** about rankings. Usually I like to see us up there just to console myself after another ****** season and give me hope for the future. I look at this class, though, and see it littered with pro football players who will all contribute, and all it does is make me want rivals and scout to underestimate it and then have us prove them wrong on the field.

Sadly this just isn't the case anymore...perceptions matter. Everything that adds positively to perception matters. There is a reason a 1 loss Alabama is playing for a title over a lot of other 1 loss teams.

Class ranking doesn't mean isht. The coaching is what matters. We need to land these kids and coach them up or it doesn't mean isht what the rank is. Guys that fit our system is what all that matters.

I could care less about the ranking, we need producers, not egos.

Yeah, but i look at our class right now and see 2 maybe 3 that will contribute right away. This is a very small class right now, we need to finish. Ill honestly be a little worried with the class if we dont see at least 3 or 4 more really solid players to come on board
