and we beat Pitt, there would be 4 teams at 5-3; UM, VT, UNC and Duke. What happens then?

What the commentators were saying is that if both Duke and VT lose next week, we will win the Coastal. If VT wins out, they win the Coastal. What's going to really hurt our chances (IMO) other than the fact that we have to play Pitt, is Virginia's star Safety will be out of the game for the first half. I was really hoping he wouldn't get kicked from the game for that reason.

UNC would actually be 5-3 in conference as well, if they beat Duke... I have no clue how this would play out. I wonder how much help we truly need to go to the ACCCG. Obviously a Duke loss, but I also think we would need a VT loss too.....then it leaves us tied with Duke, UNC and GT and we have a 3-1 record against the teams head to head and that would be how we would get in... my guess, otherwise we really have no shot....

Duke has to lose 2 games for us not to go and vetch has to lose 1 game

What are you talking about?

If Duke goes down they are 5-3, if we win we are 5-3, if VT goes down they are 4-4 (not in consideration) and GT and UNC would be 5-3.

Our head to head is 2-1
Duke is 1-2
UNC is 1-2
GT is 2-1

Duke and UNC are eliminated and since we beat GT we would go. I believe this is how a four way tie works.

This right here.

Duke is the only team that controls their own destiny. Everyone else needs help.

I actually would prefer us not getting curbstomped by FSU again. We have zero chance of beating them with our crappy D.

In this scenario, VT wins. You forgot to add GT who is already 5-3. VT would then be 3-1 against the other 4 teams giving them the best record. Miami would be 2-2. GT 2-2. Duke 2-2. UNC 1-3.

I think UNC beats Duke. Wouldn't even be surprised if they rolled them.

But I can't see VTech choking to UVA. They NEVER lose to UVA. They've beaten them like 16 of the last 17 or something ridiculous like that.

UNC has already been eliminated, even if they finish 5-3, that much I know. I still think UNC beats Duke, and VT will beat Charlottesville High School meaning no one from the Coastal goes and FSU gets a rematch with Clemson instead.

I agree that VT will end up going. I think UNC smokes Duke next weekend. They have been playing well since our game against them. I would love to get the necessary breaks to play in the game. Would be good for the program and recruiting. And by then FSU may very well be starting their 3rd stringer...lol
