One throwback to Shannon/Haith era left.

Maybe one more year of decline will do it, and get some energy back into our baseball program?

Morris was here long before the era you speak of, and he did win 2 national titles for us. But I do agree that we need a new direction. He has to get us to the World Series or it's time to move on.

The only mystery this year in baseball is: can we field a ground ball when it matters and can we make a simple throw to first base in a pressure situation.

Id be happy with less than 6 fielding errors in an important game.

And: Cane we score a runner on 2nd with a base hit?

I've been a Morris homer but if we dont get to Omaha (judging by this roster theres about a 5% chance we do), we need to move on.

Theres ZERO reason this program should not be Top 10 year in and year out.

You need to get your expectations into kilter! But great news! I have it on good "private" authority, a great source that he is on the hot seat! Trust me! Shalala is raising a bazillion dollars for athletic department!

Yes, on the greatest day in UM basketball history, does Smokey and Gringo want to talk about basketball?

NOPE! They want to start and bump threads killing the baseball team.

You would think some people would maybe pick a different day to **** all over a U sports program. But then again I tend to assume people are fundamentally happy, which I knows isn't true. Some people thrive on making themselves miserable.

This. Gotta go a little lighter on the guy. He's done really well here. But were in a rut, and we have to get out of it, either with him, or without him.

After a while most people lose the fire after being so successful. Sometimes a change is necessary for both parties to be successful again. Seems so in this case.

I'm all about giving someone a chance. It is year 2 with Gino back and you can already see the difference with the recruiting. Hopefully our hitters will start heating up, especially the yougins.

Things have changed in college baseball. Only 11.7 scholies are allowed for baseball. Has anyone checked out what tuition and room and board is at Miami. So yes there is a reason why it might be difficult to be in the top 10 every year. I do agree the team has been a disappointment the past few years. The talent has definitely been down.

Morris signs quality guys, they just go pro before they step on campus. That's a strategy problem. Stanford's answer to the tuition problem was their large endowment fund, something UM should have thought of long ago. I hope Blake addresses that issue.
