Justin Fomby, who now plays for Jarren Williams Alma Mater, Central Gwinnett.

6-4 185, throws with zip and accuracy. Very athletic and can move the pocket.

Won the Rivals QB MVP in Nashville (Bo Nix was there)

Mizzou is his biggest offer and it has been reported that Meyer is keeping tabs on him, as he camped at OSU.

Did he just transfer there or did he sat behind Williams in high school and do you think he wants do that again in college?

Other than that I like your idea of looking for a 2019 sleeper QB.

Go Canes

He is better than Rosier right now... He is a total take!

Another Ga kid under radar from Stewart County Canes need to offer,Kevin Patterson. Could not link @brock help.

There is another kid from GA that’s committed to USF that isn’t as polished as a passer but looks like Lamar when he takes off.

CMR has to look for the sleepers just like 4. 4 came on late and now he may be an All American and we know they can scout talent so just look hard

I would love for us to flip a stud from another school, but I can see with our freshman sitting here waiting to compete its difficult to do. But a kid like the one committed to USF or this kid at Williams old high school, we must recruit someone that can be develop, in case of transfers over the summer and injuries next year.

Looks like FSU's Justin Blackman.

This comparison is pretty spot on. Blackman has a slightly better arm, though.

Decent prospect, I'd definitely take him if the alternative is no QB in the '19 class (which is completely asinine).

Is it just me, or should we all be afarid of the words "sleeper QB," It is what we have now, and I think at this point I have earned the right to want a concensus blue chipper at the QB position. But nice effort on your part to bring it to the board.

Sadly most Blue Chip QBs turn out to be busts more than success stories

I would rather a QB with the Physical and Mental traits and has proved it IN Pads not in Shorts and 7-on-7. Most of these Camp warriors at QB dont amount to anything in College

Some quotes from the HC at Central Gwinnett

“[Fomby] has as much potential as Jarren Williams last year,” Wofford said. “He’s All-American caliber. He’s lit it up at every camp he has been to. He ran a 4.68 laser-timed 40-yard dash at Kentucky’s camp over the weekend.”

“From the first day he got here, he’s stepped into a leadership role,” Wofford said. “The biggest thing for him is that he came from a power-running system, so he’s learning how to make protection calls, reading the secondary, etc. He has picked it up fast – he’s actually picked up our system faster than Jarren did – but he is still learning.

“If had hadn’t sat the last two years, he’d be a 4-star prospect, a two-year starter anywhere else and committed. I know quarterbacks, and this kid is special. He’ll be a great story after he rips some conference apart in college.”
