Good for him. He had a pretty solid Senior campaign, and has earned the opportunity he's getting. I wouldn't mind the Fins picking him up on the 3rd day of the draft. Lord knows they need help at CB.

Im real happy for McGee. I killed the guy for 2+ years and he served me some crow this season. I hope he does well and I see him going on day 2 of the draft.

I'm happy for McGee, he put in the work this year and deserves to show out for the scouts.

I wish the young man success in the league. His measurables are good and having 4.2 speeds helps. Ball out young man!!!

Good for Mcgee.

For a guy every wrote off I'm proud he took the leadership reins by the horns and got it done.

Now its money makin time.

Ball out in the All-Star PRACTICES...get your workout numbers on point...get your positional drills on point...you making money without playing in a game...

So many prospects get lazy during this time period, hopefully McGee knows better and can ball. He showed flashes of a 3rd round pick this year...that positive highlight film is all teams will see if he balls out during practice...we talkin bout practice. Teams will excuse the fact he lacks in a lot of areas as a cornerback if he can run hard through the finish line.

I think he will test great. Is he not like top 3 fastest on the team? He has also added size and the boy can cover as good as DVD, shields , or Bruce Johnson. I think he has more upside than all , well except maybe Sheilda

McGee really turned it around once McGruff the crime dog left, and real coaching was implemented.

Hope he has a solid pro career.

McGee accepts invite to East-West Shrine Game

Hurricanes cornerback Brandon McGee, who concluded his career with 24 consecutive starts and graduated Thursday from UM with a bachelor's degree in sports administration and a minor in entrepreneurship, has accepted an invitation to play in the 88th East-West Shrine Game.

The game will be held Jan. 19, 2013, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

McGee, a former All-Broward First Team selection at Plantation High will be the 44th Miami Hurricane to play in the East-West Shrine Game and first UM defensive back since Al Blades in 2001. As a senior in 2012, he started all 12 games at defensive back and finished tied for sixth on the team with 54 tackles. He snagged a team-high-tying two interceptions and also notched four tackles-for-loss.

McGee is currently rated the 33rd best cornerback available in the 2013 NFL Draft. He is projected to be a seventh round pick/free agent signee according to NFLDraftScout.com.

I don't think there are 33 CBs better than him. McGee started (too) slow, but keeps getting better. Has very high ceiling. I'd be surprised if he doesn't go by the 4th round.
