I honestly worried that we would not come back after 1995 happened. For many of the reasons alluded to in that article/blog. We don't have history, we don't have an alumni base, we don't have a college town atmosphere. You miss for a few years and a generation of kids forgets you were ever any good.

With that said, Butch brought us back, whatever his shortcomings were. I hope Al has a similar ability to bring in tough talented kids and get them to play hard. IMO that is what Al was able to do at Temple.

By playing the "U brand" angle Al's being smart. Keep that symbol of success in everyone's mind, even if the product doesn't measure up yet.

I hope Al sticks around. I think he'll be successful.

If it isn't Golden, it'll be someone else.

You can't change the fact that our campus is located in South Florida and our school has had and continue to have countless superstars playing on Sundays.

If we can get by this ******* sanction period as quickly as possible, we'll get back to enjoying Saturdays.

I agree. We need these **** sanctions to just come down already.


I fully believe when these kids playing now are juniors and seniors we will be a force to be rekoned with.
 
So the writer talks about kids transferring, quitting, etc and its ok and yet people here talk smack about Leach and how we're lucky that he didn't come to miami because kids would quit yet Golden ran off kids as well. And I still refuse to believe that having one of the worst defenses is acceptable. I don't care how young they are, they should not be be ranked as low as they are. Half the mac conference has defenses that puts this one to shame. And I still believe that playing jagaga last year was a mistake. If you're going to build for the future then let Morris sink or swim last year and this year he would've been a better qb. Last year was a waste for his development by not playing.

Did Golden belittle and mentally abuse kids like Leach is accused of? If you don't see the difference in the kind of "smack" talk some people do then your ridiculous. But I'm sure you are one the dopes who want Leach. It's not acceptable but for some of you to blatantly ignore the reasons why this defense is bad this season is mind boggling.

Accepting it its about understanding it and seeing it will take some time
