Former University of Miami and current Louisville assistant Clint Hurtt, who allegedly provided false or misleading information during the NCAA's investigation into the Hurricanes' athletic department, will coach for the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
A school spokesman said Hurtt, the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator, will remain with the Cardinals as long as "things stay status quo and there is no announcement" from the NCAA.
Louisville opens the season against Ohio.
Hurtt was involved in part of the allegations against Miami, according to the NCAA's notice of allegations. He was placed on administrative leave by Louisville coach Charlie Strong and did not participate in the Cardinals' spring practices, but returned to the staff when fall camp began.
Hurtt met with the NCAA this summer and a decision is still pending.
