Excellent article. It highlights something i've thought often over the last two plus years: our program was so pathetic under Randy that even the supposed assistance of a rogue booster showering our players and recruits with benefits could not garner success on the field. As he points out, the football program certainly had no intent to cheat. Rather, some football players - mostly from disadvantaged backgrounds - had occasional fun going to an expensive restaurant, a boat, bowling alley, or a strip joint. That does not excuse their behavior, but the salacious allegations (and our 80s bad-boy image) fed into the feeding frenzy of opinions that our program was out of control.

And the article is another example that the media do not hate UM.

You should have listened to Danny Kannell today. He was perfectly fair to UM, and called out the NCAA for its drawn-out investigation, and for relying on a convicted liar.
