Amusing and interesting read on the gap between the academic capabilities of college athletes vs. their non-athletic peers. Article uses UNC as an example but if things were that bad there at a very good academic institution, imagine how little is required at community colleges like Alabama, Auburn, Florida St., anything with a Mississippi zip code, etc. especially considering the money at stake.

Not if they are the ones referenced in the article.

I will change it though.

appreciate the post and i agree its an overall sad situation. not trying to be the board police. just saying it could be harshly construed

If you read the headline, most cant read....and its true down right embarrassing to hear a guy talk that went 4years of college with a degree in something and he does not even know how to spell his degree......I will never forget the BCS ship with LSU and OSU...listing to Eddie Gorge and Jamarcus Rustle.....even Eddie was like **** I cant understand a word he said....of course we know how that ended up for both guys....

just sad....

I'm not sure if frank gore ever got his degree here and I'm pretty sure that Lamar Miller didn't but if you try to listen to either one of them talk it's painful

Frank was a special needs I thought....lamar I was not aware of....but I said the other day about Luke and Ice and other so called leaders of our inner cities of Miami, they should be ****ed at this and start work shops for kids to get their acts and sats ...instead they go on the local radio and spew race and hate....
Yet I even read today where Attorney General Holder wants schools to back off disciplining Blacks, and Hispanics ( he means blacks) due to stats saying that minorities are bigger problems in schools....and here we go.
