The more I see this kid, the more he reminds me of Maurice Cheeks.

Always in control. Super athletic. Extremely aware of the court. Ability to hit the 3 with consistency.

It's insane to watch him develop before our very eyes. He's so much better than he was at the beginning of this season, and is astoundingly better than he was last season. I don't think he lasts four years at this pace, in spite of his height. If he continues to develop at this rate, he's going to be a consensus All-American next season and will have no reason to stay for his senior year.

I can't believe I just posted that, but there it is. Kid is absurd.

He'll be here for all four of his years

I dont know man. I just dont see what kind of jump he could make between years 3 and 4 from a PG perspective. I think he bounces after next year and I wont even be mad. Kid will be ready.

He isn't hurting for the NBA

This. And next season he will actually be forced to take another step forward in his evolution, because he will be the only returning starter. He's going to have to be an even better 1 on 1 player, to create his own shots and carry more of the scoring burden. Assuming that goes well... just don't see how he stays. I know I said earlier this season that he wouldn't jump after this season, but after next season? Certainly possible.

Let's just enjoy the ride, no matter how long he's here. Best point guard we've ever had.

He may have a tough time next year since he will be the only returning starter, but if this team plays to its potential in the NCAA tournament this year, it could be enough for top players to start coming to the U and turning this school into a basketball power. He might like being here to play with some really good young players. We certainly have the coach for that. We can be hopeful...

I think he is far more athletic and explosive than Mo Cheecks was.
