This is a serious question. I notice schools this year, and in past years have logos they flash up on their gloves after big plays. The gloves are designed in such fashion. My question is, why don't our players throw up the []_[], like they do in the UA AA games and other all-star games? I've heard that throwing the []_[] is a penalty, but that's coming from anti Cane folks. Can I get an answer? I would LOVE to see Duke throw up the []_[] after a 60 yard run, or McCord toss it up after a huge sack.

If there is any school out there that can't get away with celebrating after a big play its us. It would be 15 yds in a heartbeat.

Well we could just do the same thing with the gloves......

A player can 'throw up the U', as long as he A. Doesn't play for the University of Miami B. Does it in some way to mock or taunt players for the University of Miami.

It's in the ACC Conference rule book somewhere, probably right after the section that talks about how our **** mascot how to conduct himself.

It's literally against the rules. After Ryan Moore started doing it as a touchdown celebration, it was deemed illegal, and added to the rule book of prohibited celebrations, just like the throat slash.

Yet, not surprisingly, Bridgewater both threw up the "U" and did a double throat slash....and nothing happened. Gotta love the fairness in how games are called.

Probably get two 15 -- one for each side. Still, the memories and the butt kciking we gave UT in that Cotton Bowl despite the 5000 yards in penaties makes it all worth it. I have not forgiven Sam for not defending the kids after that. Thrill holds 2 of the top 5 plays ever with the tunnel shoot out. UT did not recover from that beat down until Vince Young. We didn't just win games, THE U was the destroyer of programs back in the day. College football is boring again now.

its crazy cuz Utah does it everygame and fsu does the chop, heck from what I read here teddy did it against us and I hve not seen the video cuz I might thro up.

Back when UM scored points in bunches, the NCAA was considering a rule that made crossing the goal line while in possession of the football while wearing a "U" on your helmet, a personal foul.

Just kidding, but not by much.

Well that's my thing, how is making a hand gesture any different then making one with nike gloves on? The hypocrisy is maddening. Nothing I can do but ***** about it I guess, haha.
