I watched the game, and rewatched the game on U***SUN.

I don't believe in coincidences. Certainly not coincidence after coincidence, after coincidence - especially when Duke was running the ball. It's almost like they knew which way Duke was going.

They were skilled defenders, but no one has that much luck - even the Gator DB's. They couldn't account for Morris' checkdowns, but it is almost like they had ESP during this game.

Did anyone else note this unusual amount of anticipation? I'm not making excuses - but starting the second quarter, everything changed.

looks like they got the predetermined gameplans.. play for freaking plan and they all memorized it and we stuck to it regardless of anything.

I think... just like many of us.. you have watched this game about 100 times and are now imagining things

THey out numbered us at the line. They basically ran the same game plan we did. DB's played man and did a very good job.

They were good. Good defenses make it seem like their in the O huddle, they know what you're going to run before you run it. Lawd knows we've seen that over the years from our own defenses. Not much worked against those guys. Good thing we only needed a handful of offensive plays to beat them because our own D was forcing turnovers and was lights out in the red zone. Game of attrition, really. As the game wore on, I really don't think we wanted to take chances or get too creative (like a crossing route over the middle, God forbid). UF ended up bleeding to death. All that time of possession and they ran out of clock (Irony, ain't it beautiful). So, no black helicopters here, man. That was a good D. And we were better.

Anyway, Fack the Gator. We won.

Coley got conservative, predictable and unimaginative. My dog could figure out most of the plays before they were run, in fact she was barking Duke for a 2 yard loss repeatedly. Were you also astonished that the Canes could figure out Pease was going to keep running it up the gut? Wasn't like Chip Kelly calling plays vs. Chip Kelly in that game.

Basically this. I don't think it was a coincidence that, when the UM passing game was clicking early on, Duke had success running the ball. Once the passing game went south the ground game became stale and ineffective.

Before the season I thought that in order for this offense to be truly explosive the passing game would have to be on point to really open up the ground game. If we can't get the passing game on track, teams will continue manning up our receivers and bringing pressure to stop the Duke.

there defense got better when they stop playing easly on Henderson side who held is own all game didn't understand why they stop running behind him after the first few series

If you guys say so.

I know that for $30K, I can intercept any targeted cell phone, or several targeted cell phones simultaneously. For much less, I can pick off any frikkin' radio transmissions I so wish on any industry spectrum.

It's just too easy to pick off any radio transmissions or phone transmissions.

And I wasn't even thinking of that possibility until watching the game the second time.

Panic?

I've been hired for a few jobs where I had to track people for weeks on end, or intercept communications, or even conversations within brick buildings. Folks who though they engaged in elaborate change-ups in their normal routines, they still have to communicate verbally or electronically, and that's where they're most vulnerable.

morris it seems is not allowed to change the plays...with 9 guys in the box Dorsey would be changing the play and hitting slants or letting his WR run after the ball..Coley and Morris just ran play after play right into 9 men with the safeties making the plays...not sure what the issue is..

Everything you spoke of comes from the decision-making of the QB. That isn't Morris' strong suit, not by a long shot.

Change the snap count...try a hard count to keep them off balance, or draw them off sides.

Stephen Morris needed to change his cadence, it was the same every time.

Wouldn't surprise me in the least coming from that bunch.

If they were somehow intercepting our communications, how would they relay that to the defense in time for it to do them any good?

What worked for us was picking up the tempo and spreading them out. For whatever reason, we got away from that. Honestly, it was a dog**** gameplan by Coley IMO and even worse failure to stick with it, but in his defense, it would have been tough to predict our interior would be so badly overmatched, which I'm sure made a lot of very sensible calls by Coley look much worse.

That was just an elite DL dominating our OL, and a defense selling out on the run. They played downhill and were not going to let Duke get an inch. They put the trust in their secondary and pass rush and dared Morris to beat us.

That's a great defense.
