Some of you who grew up watching the Canes in the 80s and 90s may also remember that we've had some great student athletes. An off-the-board discussion brought me here to see if we can collectively remember or find a reference for something:
In the mid to late 90s, there was a media story about how one of our players was a student of the game, but also studious in the classroom. To the point he corrected a textbook (Science, IIRC).
I remembered the story was about Twan Russell. A fellow Cane remembers it as Tony Coley (who was a stud student and even an Iron Arrow guy).
Does anyone remember the news piece? Anyone have a reference? Thanks.
